8rz I think you should check up your anchors again, because it kinda messed up with the Grand Slam (tennis) page. A lot of information that wasn’t there before suddenly appeared, so the WP:MOS there is all over the place, and I suspect it’s because of the changes you recently promoted on this page. Could you please check it up, since you have more knowledge on this kind of stuff than I do? ABC paulista (talk) 01:06, 24 September 2025 (UTC) |

:I don’t see any problem with the anchors. I added them to bypass the redirect on titles in a season, namely, surface- and channel slam. 8rz (talk) 01:53, 24 September 2025 (UTC) |

I noticed you adding a lot of invoke flag icon commands. That’s fine for articles with heaps of flags and not needed for articles that only have a minor amount of flags. The only trouble you have to be aware of is if you use it for a blank flag it doesn’t work. I have had to correct a few Russian and Belarus entries because it simply leaves a string of code rather than a blank flag icon but I have no idea how many I’ve missed. I changed those entries to the standard protocol rather than use invoke. Just an FYI. Fyunck(click) (talk) 05:49, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- Well, that was a set and forget kind of mass edit. With invoke you dont have to worry about it exceeding WP:PEIS. And future editors would simply continue the trend of adding invoke. Thanks for catching the stray BLR/RUS blanks errors. I don’t know if you use it, but the mass-replace in the advanced table editor in source quickly solves the issue: flag|icon|}} → flag|icon}}. Simple as that. As you can see on the ATP masters page I substituted the transclusions temporarily, though. Once I settle on the final versions and names, which you come in, I will replace them back with the transclusions, which will spike the PEIS back to 60%. With flagg or invoke:flag we save up on about 30+ more seasons with finalists (by my calculations) before they would have to get expanded.
- As for the name, I saw you changed the event names in both 2025 atp and wta 1000s pages. For all I care, feel free to rename the rest of the editions. I will update the charts source pages’ (1990-2025 atp/wta 1000 season pages-list of finalists). 8rz (talk) 05:57, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- And on which pages did you revert back to flagg? Just curious. 8rz (talk) 05:59, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
-
- I reverted them on pages as I found them. #invoke can have it own problems in slowing things down so it’s best not to use it unless needed. Mass of icons better to use it. Transclusions can also make a page lag badly so again, only when needed. What events names did I change? I think I know what you mean. When the header is “tournament” or “event” we use the actual event name (or shortened version), not a city name. That had been discussed years ago. I didn’t change them all only because I was running out of time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fyunck(click) (talk • contribs) 06:18, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- The only problem I have is with hilton head and charleston which replaced the former. Which name should I use hilton head or charleston’s event name, using this convention WTA 1000 Series singles records and statistics#Title leaders, ATP Masters 1000 singles records and statistics#Title leaders. You can replace them when you are able to. 8rz (talk) 06:24, 23 September 2025 (UTC)

8rz I think you should check up your anchors again, because it kinda messed up with the Grand Slam (tennis) page. - Well, something happened here that affected the Grand Slam (tennis) page, because chuncks of this page suddenly appeared there, and only after you started editing here. Maybe it was my edit what caused it, but I don’t have enough knowledge to identify. ABC paulista (talk) 02:27, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- What chunks? 8rz (talk) 03:11, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- I just went back to the Sep 8 edit and the Grand Slam (tennis) page was fixed. It happened somewhere between sep 8 and Phil Knights edit on sep 22. It caused doubling up on see also and below… like two sets of references. I left it at Sept 8 until you find the issue. Fyunck(click) (talk) 04:06, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

Yes, but you also reversed a bunch of good faith edits. I think the problem is the transcluded sections links for the 2 charts. Will look into it. 8rz (talk) 05:21, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
Issue fixed 8rz (talk) 06:02, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- @ABC paulista, it definitely wasn’t the anchors, but rather the closing section closing tags of a H:LST when I was moving the WC charts to the WC section, I scooped up the Grand slam and NCYGS tags by accident. 8rz (talk) 06:05, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- We couldnt have it wrecking other articles so i reverted it all till you found the problem. Glad you found it. Fyunck(click) (talk) 06:09, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the head’s up. Also, comment above the ref-talk. Thanks. 8rz (talk) 06:11, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
