::The warning is in reference to harassment, I left the template wording because it emphasises to {{tq|comment on ”content”, not on contributors}}. I told you I would not continue replying to off-topic interrogations, and that you should stop asking me irrelevant personal questions, and you continued for longer than the original topic. That constitutes [[WP:HARASSMENT]]. To say it started when I, quite politely, noted that one of your comments seemed frustrated at another user and suggested you not take that further if you didn’t get a reply – but you took that as reason to question and question and question my identity. Asking all that is harassment, and (perhaps ironically) making inferences about tone and language capability can contextually be a personal attack. I write all this because I’m not quite sure you understand that the way you are engaging is very inappropriate. But now it has been explained to you, this is your final warning, ok? Yes, we do remove partisan rants from the talk page; the statement at issue was simply made to criticize the Democratic Party or post the personal views of the author, it was not a serious attempt at discussion. 331dot (talk) 23:35, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
Also see below; we are stricter about formally designated contentious topics. 331dot (talk) 23:37, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- But it does not include lies or profanity? Where is policy is that considered vandalism currently or should be deleted from a talk page? Abc7221a (talk) 23:38, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- I did not say that it was vandalism or excessive/inappropriate profanity(profanity is not censored just because). It was a statement designed merely to post the views of the author(which are frankly inaccurate, but that is beside the point) which does not contribute anything to the talk page, which is only meant for discussion related to the associated article itself. 331dot (talk) 23:41, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
-
- And in restoring such matter you are implicitly endorsing the sentiment and behavior. Please don’t restore that sort of thing to talkpages, it is of no benefit to this encyclopedia project, which isn’t a forum for partisan diatribes. There are plenty of other places on the Internet for that. WP:NOTFORUM apologies to talkpages. Acroterion (talk) 23:41, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks’ noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

- But it is a talk page, so only vandalism would apply, not “disruptive editing”. And it is not either anyway, for my previously stated reasons. I think it is important to advocate for this other user, and, much more importantly, for disruptive deletions of other users’ comments from talk pages, which is currently being done sometimes on wikipedia, and within the past 10-15 years. - No, it’s just trolling. Don’t feed the trolls/ Acroterion (talk) 23:46, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Indeed; Donald Trump freely admits he makes many controversial statements merely to anger Democrats/liberals; his supporters do the same thing. 331dot (talk) 23:47, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Please see the above notice. Admins have more ability in contentious topic areas to enforce the purpose of talk pages, which is to discuss changes to the associated article. You account is a month old and you have barely 30 edits, please get more experience before wading into these contentious topics. 331dot (talk) 23:46, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
