Thanks for your contributions to Mark Brealey. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement.
I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the “Submit the draft for review!” button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Fancy Refrigerator (talk) 13:42, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, and thank you for taking the time to review the page and provide feedback.
- I just wanted to explain my intention a bit more. I am in the process of starting a series of articles on leading UK lawyers who have shaped laws in the country. Mark Brealey KC was the first entry I’ve attempted, as I’d like to build up a profile of important legal figures and their contributions to jurisprudence.
- This is my first time creating such a page, and I’ve made sure to use citations and reliable references throughout. My goal was not to be promotional, but to ensure the subject’s professional achievements are properly documented in line with Wikipedia’s standards.
- I am happy to rework the tone if needed and would really appreciate any guidance on which parts you felt read as advertisement so I can improve both this article and the future ones I plan to write.
- Thank you again for your time and support. AdamsFirase (talk) 14:06, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
I would recommend you read WP:PROMO and especially WP:COI, as it appears you have some sort of affiliation with the school. If you do, you must disclose this on your user page. I very strongly suggest you avoid attempting to move to article space so quickly and instead suggest you take the WP:AFC route, where the article will be reviewed before it is accepted into mainspace. Looking at your draft so far, it is far too promotional and will likely be placed back into draft space or possibly speedy deleted altogether if it is moved. Thank you. - Hello Lynch, I do not have any affliation with the church of the school. AdamsFirase (talk) 21:58, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation‘s terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ScrabbleTiles (talk) 15:05, 22 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message. I don’t have any personal or professional connection to Nick Manners. The page was created because there are a number of significant family law cases and practitioners who aren’t currently represented on Wikipedia, despite their clear public relevance.
- Nick Manners has worked on several high-profile cases alongside Baroness Fiona Shackleton (who already has a page), and it seemed important to ensure that these contributions and cases are properly documented with reliable sources. My aim is simply to improve coverage of under-represented but notable legal figures and judgments. AdamsFirase (talk) 15:09, 22 October 2025 (UTC)

- This photo is not the same as those appearing on the websites you linked, so where did you obtain it from? You have not provided a source which is why I am asking again. Fancy Refrigerator (talk) 12:21, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- I’ve already addressed this point in my earlier response. If you disagree with the answer, that’s fine, but please refer back to the reply I provided at 16:41, 22 October 2025 (UTC) rather than repeating the same question. AdamsFirase (talk) 13:16, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- As I said before, the image you uploaded (this image) is not the same as those appearing on the websites. So you could not have possibly obtained this photo from those websites. Where, then, did you obtain the image from? If you do not have permission to upload this photo, you must immediately go to Wikimedia Commons and request its speedy deletion using Commons:Template:Speedydelete. This goes for all other files you uploaded to Commons. Fancy Refrigerator (talk) 13:55, 23 October 2025 (UTC)

- Hi Monkeysmashingkeyboards, could you tell me which ones were deleted just so I know for future reference as I am looking to become a future editor on wikipedia AdamsFirase (talk) 14:49, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- Wait, the revert was done in error. You just didn’t cite your source properly. There should be a button while editing that says “Cite”(located on the top toolbar). Click that, and it should prompt you to insert your link. Happy editing! monkeysmashingkeyboards (talk) 14:55, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
