Please stop mass-nomining articles for deletion that are clearly not in violation of WP:NPLACE. The absence of content and citations is not in itself a reason for deletion. Further nominations may be considered a form of vandalism. Thank you. FromCzech (talk) 11:11, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- They are not notable. I’m vandalizing an article with three lines and 7 families that has been up since 2012 for putting this notice? See: Chahar Bid, Razavi Khorasan. What has done this village to merit notability since 2012? Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 11:15, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- Notability is not determined by the number of people living there and the size of the article. In addition to WP:NPLACE, please also read Wikipedia:Proposed deletion. This tool is intended for non-controversial deletions only. Since deletion of geographical locations are usually controversial, it is not a suitable tool. It is more appropriate to start a deletion discussion on all villages with common characteristics at once. FromCzech (talk) 11:21, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- I understand. Though I think, exemplifying in Chahar Bid, Razavi Khorasan as a proxy of my other nominations, that nothing happened (known) notable in that village ever because no one added more than that three lines of content since 2012. No notable individual, no battle, no accident, no festivity, non-cultural landmark, no monument, no natural landmark, no nothing. What’s the controversy here? I’ve been an inclusionist myself in Spanish wiki earlier, but this is going too far, no? Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 11:27, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- The first sentence of WP:NPLACE:
Populated, legally recognized places are typically presumed to be notable, even if their population is very low.
It is notable simply because it is a legally recognized village. This is the common practice on enwiki. You’ve probably noticed that all villages in, for example, Fariman County in Iran have their own article. So if you want to delete them, nominate them all for deletion (WP:MULTIAFD) and give objective reasons for deletion (with a reference to wiki policy, not subjective reasons like that there is nothing significant in the village). You should also give objective reasons when you use WP:PROD. FromCzech (talk) 11:38, 21 July 2025 (UTC)

What makes you think that 100 proposed deletions in a couple of hours is OK? Geschichte (talk) 17:13, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- The number of proposed deletions is irrelevant if each one of them is justified. And they are. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 21:04, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia’s policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you.
- Hello, Aldorwyn of Rivendell,
- You spent seconds tagging articles for Proposed deletion which is not enough time to evaluate each article and look for sources for them. How can you justify each one of these dozens and dozens of articles to make sure that they are deserving of deletion? You also neglected to notify the article creator for each article you tagged. This is abusing the PROD processs.
- Please untag articles that you did not spend time investigating and post a notification to the User talk page of each article page creator for each article you PROD’d. Please clean up this mess. If you mass-PROD articles again, you can expect to be blocked. Liz Read! Talk! 21:34, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- I only need seconds to see that an article of 3 lines about a village with 5 families in some country doesn’t meet notability criteria if no one has edited it since 2012 and absolutely nothing of notability has happened there and published somewhere. And I did similarly for all articles I marked for deletion. No disruptive behavior intended, and I don’t think my contribution is bad. If you check my page in spanish wikipedia you can see I’m more or less an inclusionist there and usually spent time finding worthy articles of enwiki to translate to eswiki, but these kind of articles in enwiki are contrary to the notability criteria and in my opinion just there to inflate the number of articles of enwiki and make it seem more relevant than wikis in other languages. You don’t get to tell me to undo my nominated deletions, I don’t agree with that. All of them are worthy of immediate deletion, and it’s justified in each and every case. Blocking or restricting me in any way would be an abuse of power and maybe just because you realize that articles of 2 or 3 lines about a population that no one has edited since 2012 and has no event or landmark to justify the article exist in the wiki in the first place and are there just to inflate enwiki number of articles or because an inclusionist tendency gone too far. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 21:46, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- If I had made 100 edits in 2 hours fixing typos in several articles, would someone had asked me to revert every single of them because I worked too fast, or I didn’t spend 30 minutes pondering every typo? It’s similar to what happened here. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 21:49, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- From Wikipedia:Here to build an encyclopedia:
- “Focusing on particular processes
- A user may have an interest in creating stubs, tagging articles for cleanup, improving article compliance with the Manual of Style, OR NOMINATING ARTICLES FOR DELETION. These are essential activities that improve the encyclopedia in indirect ways.”
- Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 22:08, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- You haven’t even provided an edit summariy for any of your prods, as required by WP:PRODNOM.
- You could at least revert those as a courtesy to your fellow editors. Nil🥝Talk 08:51, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Your negative response means that your edits are now under close scrutiny. Your Spanish Wikipedia presence does not alleviate yesterday’s actions. Some prods were probably legitimate, but some were outlandish, but you can not expect the community to tolerate a similar rapidity of nominations. Geschichte (talk) 09:37, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- If “some were legitimate”, how it comes you have reverted them all, and I have been denounced to administrators? Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 12:00, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

JTtheOG (talk) 01:03, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
This is a brief clarification regarding the batch of prod tags I placed yesterday.
Several of the articles I nominated — particularly those concerning small geographic settlements with minimal census-only data — have drawn attention and emotional response. While I still believe many of these stubs lack long-term encyclopedic value and fail to demonstrate notability in a meaningful way, I recognize that under current consensus (see WP:NPLACE and WP:GEOLAND), legally recognized geographic locations are typically presumed notable, and are therefore not suitable candidates for the PROD process. I was not previously aware of this specific consensus, and while I do not personally agree with its extremely broad application, I will respect the standard going forward.
Accordingly, I will be reviewing all my recent nominations individually, and removing the PROD tags from geographic articles as I go.
However, I will not be undoing deletion nominations across the board. Articles such as biographies of individuals without notable achievements, non notable sport events, or company/product stubs lacking independent, reliable sourcing, will be individually re-evaluated. If they still appear to fail core notability standards like WP:GNG, WP:NBIO, or WP:NORG, I will leave the PROD tags in place. I will also be notifying the original article creators on those retained nominations as per standard practice. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 09:49, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- As WP:PROD says,
Proposed deletion (PROD) is a way to suggest an article or file for uncontroversial deletion
. This means that before each tag placement, it is necessary to analyze whether there really are no sources, whether the deletion is really in accordance with all wiki policies, or whether there is no other controversy. The short length and absence of resources in the current form of the page is not a reason for deletion. If you place tags en masse again, you will easily make a mistake and, given your previous history, this may lead to the blocking of your account. I recommend using the PROD tool exceptionally and start standard WP:AFD discussions instead. FromCzech (talk) 10:03, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
By the consensus of the Wikipedia community, you are topic-banned from using the WP:PROD process. Note that after six months of problem-free editing you may request this topic ban be lifted per the standard offer. – The Bushranger One ping only 22:42, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- Understood. I accept the topic ban. I’ll avoid using the PROD process and will continue contributing in other areas. Thank you. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 10:21, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Beltalowda ZX Spectrum screenshot hotel bar.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Johnj1995 (talk) 00:27, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Google Research requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled “Contest this speedy deletion”. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia’s policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Tenshi! |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Thanks for brining this translation from the Spanish article. Note that while you’ve acknowledged this on the talk page, it should also be acknowledged in the first edit summary (see Help:Translation). A tag has been placed on TernFS, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
Thanks for uploading File:Mona León Siminiani.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file’s talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 20:50, 11 November 2025 (UTC)

- But, of course! Thanks, I’ll be glad to translate that list. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 15:41, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
|some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

- You are right, sorry again, it’s a recurring mistake of mine. I’ll try to be more careful in the future, I’m sorry. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 15:10, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on User:Aldorwyn of Rivendell/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, as it exhibits signs of having been generated by an AI model with no clear human review. Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia and output must be carefully checked.
For further information, see the section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled “Contest this speedy deletion”. Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find it difficult, please ask for help at the Teahouse. —Gurkubondinn (talk) 13:28, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- I find this very rude. Asking to delete the sandbox of a user. See my contributions in my user page. First I do a quick translation with LLM in my sandbox, then I review it and fix it and fix all the errors and adapt all the conventions of the english Wikipedia before publishing and article, then I KEEP working on it until I think it’s fully translated.
- You asked to delete the first crude translations of an LLM in my sandbox. Bravo. I didn’t have much time for Wikipedia lately, but I think it will be less now. Great way to treat people. I’ll use my time in something else than this discussion. Delete what you want or go article for article deleting all my contributions, if you wish, I will not contest anything more. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 13:38, 30 January 2026 (UTC) @Gurkubondinn:
- This page is eligible for speedy deletion under WP:G15. Please don’t paste AI slop into Wikipedia. These tools are very bad for translations meant for Wikipedia, they always invariably alter the text. If you don’t speak the source language you should not be translating the text. —Gurkubondinn (talk) 13:41, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- I’ve not pasted AI slop into Wikipedia, I’ve posted a first pass of translation made with an LLM for further review and scrutiny, TO MY SANDBOX, WHICH IS NOT PART OF THE WIKIPEDIA, AS IS STATED ON EACH ONE AND EVERY SANDBOX. You are wrong and you should apologize. I have a C1 language certified by Cambridge. If you don’t stop attacking me, I’ll report your behavior to the administrators panel. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 14:08, 30 January 2026 (UTC) @Gurkubondinn:
- I am not attacking you. The WP:GCSD criteria, including WP:G15, apply to all namespaces, including userspace. If you have a C1 in French, and you are experienced in French-to-English translations (localization requires more than just speaking the languages), then please apply the skill to the translation. This text is incontrovertibly generated by ChatGPT. Note that this is just a nomination for deletion, not actual deletion. The page has not been deleted. —Gurkubondinn (talk) 14:14, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Gurkubondinn: Ok, look, yesterday I had a bad day at work, and your speedy deletion didn’t help at all. I apologize for some of my expressions and ways of wording things.
- In a gesture of good manners I cleaned a bit my sandbox, published a new article yesterday, reviewed thoroughly after the first pass translation of the LLM: Pedro Quesada.
- Cleaned my user page a bit as well.
- Please if you would be so kind, now that the anger has calmed down, to pinpoint the exact ISBN and article and to list me a bullet point of improvements or articles to take another look at, I will take a look at them and correct them, to help me improve my contributions to Wikipedia.
- You can take a look at my user page for the list of articles. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 08:07, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Gurkubondinn: I’m a Spanish and Catalan native, I read and write English at C1 Cambridge level, and have some knowledge of French, Portuguese, German, and Japanese. The reminder on my sandbox is because I was warned by another user or admin to add as the first edit summary always in my translations. The exact article in the reminder is just a placeholder for whatever article I would like to polish from the sandbox and push it to published. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 08:13, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Gurkubondinn: By the way, some WP conveniently exclude user space and sandbox and others don’t. So enforcing WP:G15 to sandboxes when the user has not a malicious intent is pushing things a bit too far, in my opinion. I understand Wikipedia editors concerns about LLMs, and should be addressed. But pushing this too far is for my like trying to ban: word correcting tools, Google Translate, bots in the Wikipedia because they are not human and can make errors too, or the calculator and forcing you to do all of your calculations with pen and paper. So, please, all Wikipedia patrollers, take things with context. You are not going to delete LLMs from this planet, no matter how many WP you write. They can help bring a lot of new good intentioned editors, that will learn the ropes and become better with time, and avoid errors, and correct themselves and others error. The LLMs themselves will get better as well. So please, give us a break. Aldorwyn of Rivendell (talk) 08:20, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
