::No worries I understand. The part about ‘paper’ referring to a newspaper wasn’t accurate though, so I guess that’s what irked me a bit. It should have a source in any case though. Oh also, I should mention I didn’t have a problem with any of the other formatting changes you made, just the sentence, so you didn’t have to revert the entire edit. It’s up to you though. Arlo, thanks for converting my arroyo gallery into a real article. I tweaked it a bit. I love visiting there, and my wife grew up in Española; I grew up in El Paso, an honorary New Mexico place, yes? Dicklyon (talk) 03:57, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
- Unfortunately I have never had the pleasure of visiting El Paso. It’s my understanding that there is a cultural continuum all along the Rio Grande Valley (for example, the Tiwa Puebloans reside in northern New Mexico but also in the south as Tigua). The arroyo article was a good idea, thanks for starting it. I’m sure more sources can be found to further expand it, but I haven’t yet found the opportunity to chase them down. Thank you for for your contribution to that article! I’ve been maintaining that article as an IP editor for years. I added a reference link to the video you mentioned, an SNL skit (and changed the heading because the skit is not entirely fictional!) and a How I Met Your Mother script where they talk about Rosetta Stone. Hi Arlo. You added the text “The name refers to being ‘in chains’, the term ‘paper’ for a newspaper, and the craft paper chains” to the article Paper Chained. I appreciate your interest, but not only is this WP:OR and unsourced, it’s also not completely true. I also think it’s very unnecessary. Kind of like explaining that the name for magazine New Idea “refer to ‘ideas’ that are ‘new'”. Can you please consider removing the text according?
