Do you have any connection to Mark Naufel or the University of Silicon Valley? If you do, you have to disclose your conflict of interest as per the rules as WP:COI.

Thank you, Athanelar (talk) 15:59, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I’m new to wiki. I am a student at the school USV. I want our page to be accurate and link to the president and Mark just became the president two weeks ago or something like that. I dont personally know him but he is the new president of the school I go to. Is that allowed? Sorry if I didnt disclose that the first time. I did rewrite the article based on your feedback. Thank you. Azurecastle (talk) 10:15, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No sure if I have to tag you but hi @Athanelar Azurecastle (talk) 11:58, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info. I’ll add the relevant disclosure labels to your profile. Other than that, please read the guidelines at WP:COI to see what you should do regarding articles you have a conflict of interest with. Athanelar (talk) 13:55, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Pencilceaser123 was:
The comment the reviewer left was:

While the subject appears notable, I see neutrality issues and believe there is an undisclosed conflict of interest, as the picture used was submitted by the person who wrote the article and it seems like a profile picture or something similar.

Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hi @Pencilceaser123thank you so much for reviewing. I am new to wiki. I have re-written the article to be more neutral language and formal tone (I think but I am still learning). I also disclosed my COI above. This person just became the new president of the school I attend and I want our school page to be accurate so was making this to link into. Not sure if I am allowed to do that or not if I am a student at the school? Does someone outside of the school need to do that? Azurecastle (talk) 10:18, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Is the conflict of interest just that he is the president of the school you go to? That’s fine, I will look at the changes you’ve made to the article soon Pencilceaser123 (talk) 20:12, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes – do I need to add that somewhere in the wiki? Thank you Azurecastle (talk) 10:15, 30 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
