Hi @Bugghost I like this essay. I think it could be helpful to describe the argument at RFD as an implied straw-man of Wikipedia:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, as when people say ‘we shouldn’t spend all the that time making a redirect for every misspelling of Canada’ the implication for redirects that already exist is that by not deleting them, we’re setting a precedent that those redirects should be created in the future. But of course, that’s not what not-deleting the redirects does, as we don’t create a precedent here in the same way that courts of law create precedents, and suggesting we shouldn’t do that is a straw-man.
