:For full disclosure, I am employed by H.H. Franchising Systems, Inc., the legal entity behind Home Helpers Home Care. I am a salaried employee and will not receive individual payments for my contributions. My intent is not to use Wikipedia to sell franchises. I would like to create a neutral, well-sourced page about Home Helpers Home Care’s history, its role in the in-home care industry, and its place within the franchising sector more broadly. This could also include leadership contributions, such as CEO & President Emma Dickison’s participation in the International Franchise Association (IFA) Advocacy Summit and COO Amanda Corrigan’s role in a Home Health Care News (HHCN) FUTURE Conference panel.

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, website, or role, which is against the username policy.
If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text “Your proposed new username” with your new username and replace the text “Your reason here” with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you’d like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text “Your reason here” with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 18:15, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
Hi there! When reviewing this block, I noticed that you had created a new account after being blocked on your other account, User:Home Helpers Home Care. I appreciate you using your new account to request an unblock (rather than editing). However, the proper process would have been to request a rename from your old account. That said, I’ve blocked this account and added the block notice here. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 18:17, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:
I understand that my previous edits from the account “Home Helpers Home Care” were flagged as promotional and violated Wikipedia’s username and conflict-of-interest guidelines. I acknowledge this error and want to sincerely apologize to the Wikipedia community. I now recognize that using a company-branded username and framing content with promotional language does not align with Wikipedia’s mission to provide unbiased, encyclopedic information.
I am now operating under a personal username (c.sopko) and am committed to making future edits in accordance with Wikipedia’s standards, including:
• Writing from a strictly neutral point of view
• Removing all promotional or sales-oriented language
• Citing only reliable, third-party sources
• Disclosing my connection to Home Helpers Home Care in compliance with paid contribution policies
The reason for pursuing this article is not for lead generation or marketing. In fact, I understand Wikipedia explicitly prohibits such use. Rather, our intent is to contribute a fact-based, historically oriented entry that educates the general public about Home Helpers Home Care’s role in the in-home care industry. Given the increasing use of large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Gemini—many of which use Wikipedia data to provide AI-driven summaries—we believe it’s important that accurate, non-promotional content exists for readers and journalists who may encounter the brand through these tools.
We are revising the content to focus on:
– The history and evolution of the company since its founding in 1997
– Its leadership and approach to in-home care for aging adults
– The development of comprehensive care programs that support aging in place
We are also happy to include a note clarifying that the page is not an offer to sell a franchise and that its intent is strictly informational.
Going forward, I plan to work collaboratively with the community, use the Talk page for any potentially sensitive updates, and abide by all applicable Wikipedia policies. I greatly appreciate your time and consideration, and I hope to contribute constructively to the platform.

- I have also noticed that other home care organizations have existing pages, such as Right at Home and Nurse Next Door. Could you help me understand why those are acceptable while this effort has been blocked? My goal is to follow the same standards and contribute something useful and compliant.

- On a personal note, I have long enjoyed Wikipedia for deep dives into music, history, and culture — from bands like Los Campesinos!, Pretty Girls Make Graves, and The Blood Brothers to historical and biblical research. Just this morning, I was reading about the history of Cleveland’s baseball teams. I knew about the Spiders prior to the Indians (now Guardians), but I had no idea about the Forest Citys, Blues, Lake Shores, Bronchos, and Naps. For me, the appeal of Wikipedia is discovering details like these and learning through exploration. Before this process, I did not know the proper way to contribute, but I want to learn and give back to the platform I use so often.
- For transparency, I saw the note that “we do not consider chatbot-generated unblock requests.” My previous request was not generated by a chatbot. I often use CoPilot and ChatGPT to polish grammar or improve flow, since I tend to write in a stream-of-consciousness style and then edit for clarity, but the ideas, intent, and substance of my requests are my own.
- Thank you for your time and guidance.
Please include a decline or accept reason.

- Keep in mind a few things, that will help you get your editing access restored.
- You are a WP:PAID editor under Wikipedia’s definition. It does not require a specific situation in which you are specifically paid for a specific edit to Wikipedia. That you are paid is more than enough for you to have to make the paid editor disclosure (which you can find at the link). If this weren’t the policy, then any paid editor could claim to not be paid for a specific edit.
- All articles are evaluated in and of themselves. See WP:OTHERSTUFF. There are more than seven million articles on Wikipedia, many of which have never been formally reviewed, or are terrible and should be deleted. If articles could stay simply because an equally poor or even worse article existed, then Wikipedia would be in a constant death spiral of worse and worse quality articles. If you must look at articles as a guide as to expectations, then you should look at WP:FA and WP:GA which are articles that have been reviewed by the community for their quality.
- The use of chatbots, while technically allowed with very careful limitations, is generally considered an indicator of very low trust. You’re asking administrators to trust your motives in editing an article and your understanding of the expectations of editing on Wikipedia. When you present them as a hybrid of your thoughts and the chatbot’s, nobody here can process what is your understanding and what is the chatbot’s frequently poor understanding of our policies and guidelines. Many administrators will use their discretion to not even consider an unblock request that obviously utilized AI. Your thoughts and your words, even if less than expertly expressed, are far more valuable to the community than the shiniest of words polished by a chatbot. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 01:14, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks! I will review these guidelines and add in the appropriate language. Once I’ve completed that step, should I post my revised draft into the Talk section? Just looking for some guidance as to how I can potentially get approval. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated! C.sopko (talk) 19:43, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Do not worry about the draft right now. Focus only on why you are blocked. To help us respond to the request, please do the following:
- Review Wikipedia’s payment disclosure and conflict of interest policies and guidelines, then explain how those apply to your block.
- Describe the types of edits you would like to make if you were unblocked.
- Thank you! Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:17, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

- I concur with the above; talk page posts are not expected to be grammatically and stylistically perfect. We don’t want “polished” comments, just talk to us as one human to another. 331dot (talk) 08:07, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- This is very helpful, thank you! I’ve always had anxiety about my writing, so It’s nice to know that Wikipedia appreciates real, human input. C.sopko (talk) 19:41, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Please note that Wikipedia is not a directory, meaning that it does not include topics just because those topics exist. Rather, all subjects need to abide by Wikipedia’s notability guidelines, in this case, company notability. In general, notability is established through reliable, independent sources with significant coverage of the subject. Wikipedia is not interested in what companies have to say about themselves. Therefore, press releases and routine coverage do not establish notability. That said, are there other topics you’re interested in editing? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 16:59, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
- I appreciate the feedback. I’ve added the conflict of interest and paid contribution disclosures, but I still can’t seem to make any edits to other articles on Wikipedia because the indefinite block is still active. If my account is reactivated, I’d like to contribute in other areas. I use Wikipedia a lot and, like I mentioned before, I enjoy deep dives into topics like music and history. Before I was assigned this project, I just didn’t know how to get started with creating or editing articles. I’d appreciate the opportunity to contribute to Wikipedia for more than just this one project. C.sopko (talk) 17:56, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
- If you edit pages related to your employment (e.g., creating an article for Home Helpers Home Care), you will need to do more than disclose your employment on your userpage, though this is a great first step! Please review Wikipedia’s payment disclosure and conflict of interest policies and guidelines, then explain how those apply to your block. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 22:40, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
- Really do appreciate the guidance! I’ll look into this as soon as possible. As always, thanks! C.sopko (talk) 00:56, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- I understand that my initial approach to editing wasn’t ideal or in alignment with Wikipedia’s guidelines, which ultimately led to my block. Because my work connects to my employment, I now recognize that those edits fall under the payment disclosure and conflict of interest requirements. I’ve reviewed WP:PAID and WP:COI and will follow those policies moving forward to ensure better transparency. C.sopko (talk) 19:26, 17 October 2025 (UTC)

Hi there! I’m contributing to this draft as part of my work with H.H. Franchising Systems, Inc., the franchisor and legal entity behind the Home Helpers Home Care brand. I’m employed by the National Support Center, and my goal here is to provide accurate, well-sourced information about Home Helpers Home Care and the franchise network it supports. C.sopko (talk) 17:24, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
Hello again! Aside from our main talking point here, I would like to primarily contribute to poor linking/attribution in articles. While attempting to Emilio Tomasini (which was recommended for beginners), I noticed that one of the links redirected toward Alternative Press. While I was not familiar with Emilio Tomasini, I understood that “AP” is a music magazine and would not typically cover news about a financial analysist.
Additionally, my father worked as a Steel Worker in Cleveland for the majority of his life. I noticed that a page exists for Republic Steel, which links to Ling-Temco-Vought, ArcelorMittal, Mittal Steel Company and Cleveland-Cliffs. Aside from my dad, I have a lot of relatives and former classmates who work at “The Mill”. I take pride in my family’s history and could be a valuable resource when it comes to fact-checking these pages.
Also, I have spent a lot of my personal time researching my family history. The Sopko & Solomon sides of my family were immagrants of Slovak, Hungarian, Polish, and German decent. When they came to America, they settled in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and Star Junction, Pennsylvania and worked in the coal mines. Sadly, we do not have many stories of what life was like aside from “times were hard”. Everything I have ever learned (and documented) has been through various internet searches. In fact, I was the one to uncover our Hungarian heritage after discovering that Michael Szopko (I believe to be my sixth great grandfather) was born in the Kingdom of Hungary.
Last, but not least… I have a personal investment in the following bands, who are all connected by means of trading off line-ups. I would genuinely love to contribute where I can to the lore of these groups: The Blood Brothers (band), Neon Blonde, Head Wound City, Jaguar Love, Past Lives (band), Pretty Girls Make Graves, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs
I genuinely appreciate any consideration that can be made and I hope to hear from you soon!
C.sopko (talk) 18:53, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for sharing. Please note that Wikipedia relies on what is shared in reliable, independent sources. This is why we recommend against editing topics with which you have a conflict of interest until you have a better understanding of how Wikipedia works. That is, sometimes it can be hard to only include what is mentioned in external sources rather than what you personally know. For example, you say you know a lot about ‘The Mill’ and thus, could factcheck. This could be beneficial, but again, you would need to rely solely on reliable, independent sources say — not on what you know from experience.
- Additionally, you state you “have a personal investment” in a few bands. Can you explain what you mean by that? For example, do you mean just personally enjoy the bands’ music, or do you have some other connection? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 23:31, 9 October 2025 (UTC)
- You’re welcome! My father has since retired and I have no close personal connection to the steelyard in Cleveland. A passion for our rich industrial history, yes… but my feelings toward “The Mill” are neutral. To me, it’s more of an interesting artifact about Cleveland culture. As for the bands listed, I have no direct connections to any of them. My ties to each are strictly the result of being a fan to many of the individual artists’ contributions to their primary bands and then subsequent side projects. Ultimately, I do wish to contribute to Wikipedia in a way that is fact-based. Believe me when I say, I enjoy creative writing & songwriting. That’s where I can pour emotion & opinion. On Wikipedia, my intent is to only edit & create content that can be backed by facts. Again, thank you for taking the time to hear my case. I absolutely appreciate your time (and the feedback from other Admins as well)! C.sopko (talk) 23:40, 9 October 2025 (UTC)
- @C.sopko, since it sounds like you’ve got interest in writing about things that fall under WP:PAID and things that don’t, my suggestion for you is that you create a second account (don’t do this yet! wait until an unblock!) called something very obvious, like “C.sopko.paid” or “C.sopkoCOI”, or whatever similar thing you like. On this account, you can edit about anything you’re interested in, so long as you don’t have a WP:COI with regards to that topic. On the other account, we put a paid declaration on your userpage and you follow all the editing guidelines at WP:COIEDIT and WP:PAID. So your article on Home Helpers would be created on that other account, and you would clearly label it as a paid creation (you’re an employee, so you’re “paid” whether you’re getting a direct payment for the article in specific or not). Does this make sense to you, and are you interested in doing this? — asilvering (talk) 16:51, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- Appreciate the feedback! This does make sense, and I’m willing to do this. I can certainly hold off on creating a second account until I’m given the go-ahead. If that’s the preferred route, would I then consider this account to be my personal one (for editing band articles and adding to Cleveland history) and use the “C.sopko.paid” or “C.sopkoCOI” account to oversee the Home Helpers Home Care Wikipedia page? I’ll be sure to include all of the compliance language on that account, but I just want to make sure I’m understanding correctly. C.sopko (talk) 19:30, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- Yep! Ok @Significa liberdade, I think we can unblock now, so I’ll do that. @C.sopko, once you’ve made your other account, if you ping us to your talk page we can double-check that you’ve done all of the disclosures properly. — asilvering (talk) 19:40, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
