Hi Cassiopeia,
I have been in a discusion about the page of Anthony Taylor (fighter) about the boxing record and Misfits Boxing bouts.
According to boxrec it is its own category making his record quite complicated. For MF Pro while Sherdog lists them as Exhibition Boxing.
These are 2 very good record holders of boxing matches and according to Wikipedia:WikiProject Boxing/MOSGuidelines its best to follow boxrec.
One of the accounts that reverted my edit has been banned MoonknightPP34 i have opened dialoge with user GhaziTwaissi but now its been reversed again by a brand new account named MasterChief280.
Is there a proper way i can discus this. Am i in the right or wrong?
A lot of people take wikipedia as truth and i have been noticing that people confuse MF Boxing with pro boxing. Its boxing with custom rules because most of them dont have a boxing history. Just very few matches are actually sanctioned by a commision thats able to and all of this is listed inside Boxrec. Panini03 (talk) 10:23, 6 October 2025 (UTC)

- Panini03 Good day. I believe you meant Tapology rather than Sherdog in your previous link. On Wikipedia, MMA fighters’ records are sourced from Sherdog, while boxing records are based on Boxrec. It is appropriate to start a discussion about the subject on the article’s talk page to avoid violating the three-revert rule (WP:3RR), which can result in being banned from editing. Sometimes, editors are new and may not understand established norms, or they may fail to provide reliable sources for their edits, often relying solely on personal opinions instead of verifiable references. Regards. Cassiopeia talk 08:31, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
- In this case im the new one. But i just notice the error but a lot of influencer boxing pages maintain it. Generarly these are managed by the same people i think.
- I have opened a conversation on the talk page of KSI and also opened a talk with someone who reverted my edit. I will try to get my point across and if i reach a agreement i wanna change it on other influencer boxers pages as well. If i dont i wont do this of course. Is there anyway i could get more attention on this talk page?
- i also think user:MasterChief280 is a sockpuppet of User:MoonknightPP34 since their editing history is similar.
- I did get reverted 3 times by now but 1 of my reverted edits was a sockpuppet and one more revert of what i think is another sockpuppet of the same user.
- Is there any way where i can report this. Lil Tjay discography and the Anthony Taylor (fighter) are 2 pages i find examples on.
- Thank you for the help Panini03 (talk) 09:19, 7 October 2025 (UTC)

- Three things:
- I am not sure how active or current WikiProject Boxing is compared to WikiProject MMA, but you can always ask experienced Wikipedia editors for help or clarification.
- 2. On Wikipedia, verification with independent, reliable sources is a core policy. If in doubt, refer to this crucial guideline.
- 3. I did a quick check on the two editors you mentioned and found that they have edited some similar pages. Editor YeetaSkeeta is a sockpuppet of Moonknight PP34, among others; you can review their contribution log and talk pages for context. To report sockpuppetry, use Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations and follow the instructions. For example, see the case: here. Regards. Cassiopeia talk 09:56, 7 October 2025 (UTC)

- Sorry i corrected the infobox.
- I will check out both WikiProject Boxing and MMA i have used the Boxing page as extra argumentation for the change in records already but never asked them for help.
- I always try to follow rule 2 to the best and wont change anything unless i can prove it to be different.
- I will report the sockpuppet to the page.
- Thank you for your help Panini03 (talk) 11:50, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
- Panini03 Good day. Good day. I just wanted to let you know that WikiProject Boxing can be another place to go if you need help with boxing-related questions. Of course, I’ll be happy to assist you anytime you need help. I understand you successfully reported the editor to SPI. I believe they may return as a sock and edit the same pages in a similar style, so please keep an eye on those familiar pages. Thank you very much for your help and contributions. Stay safe and all the best. Cassiopeia talk 00:37, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hey Cassipeia,
- I have asked them for help but yet to get a response. I did help them out with a dispute about Naoya Inoue. Hopefully i wil get some help for them otherwise i might ask somewhere else.
- Now the discusion is just at a stand still i got a Opposed by 3 people but 2 of those seem very untrusted and the 1 that is doesnt respond anymore. Most of the time he refers that it was discused last year as well but it seems people noting out that its not a pro boxing match and him saying its more understandable for the general public.
- I think User:GhaziTwaissi might be using sock puppets as well in KSI Archive of last year he says “to not confused the general public” and on the new talk i opened i got voted out by 2 inactive accounts saying its confusing for the general public.
- I dont actually have evidence outside this or anything to build a case on so i won’t report it.
- But User:YeetaSkeeta and User:AliM7mdd who also are known sockpuppet users have a big history of using sockpuppets as well in the KSI talk page. They all seem to be involved around Youtube boxing articles.
- A couple people have said they should fix the records but these accounts generally seem to block it.
- Im considering changing the record i a few days and just see the outcome.
- Thank you for the advice and help. I have been keeping watch at the articles, im fairly new to wikipedia so i dont try to edit too much and just maintain the few pages i have been working on or help out with updating information. Have a good day! Panini03 (talk) 13:20, 10 October 2025 (UTC)

Hello, Can you guide me on how to upload relevant photos to the article? —Drpriyesh1 (talk) 05:55, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- Drpriyesh1. Good day.
- To upload a photo in Wikipedia, please read:
- (1) Before uploading any photo, it is important that you carefully read the Wikipedia:Copyrights and Wikipedia:Uploading images Wikipedia guidelines.
- {2) You must be the copyright holder of the photo (the person who took the photo). You will be banned from editing if you violate copyright guidelines, as copyright violation entails legal implications, and Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously.
- (3) Once you have uploaded the photo to Wikimedia Commons, you must irrevocably agree to release your contribution/copyright of the photos under the CC BY-SA 4.0 License and the GFDL (GNU Free Documentation License), which means you agree to let anyone in the world use your images for any purpose.
- (4) To upload a photo, please go to Wikimedia Commons and follow the instructions.
- (5) After uploading and saving the photo in Wikimedia Commons, click on “Use this file” and copy the link to paste into the Wikipedia article.
- Since you are new to Wikipedia, I strongly suggest you to take WP:TWA short program (30 mins) so you could familiar with some of the fundamental Wikipedia guidelines to help you on editing Wikipedia pages and avoid receiving warning messages or banned from editing. Do you have to go through the academy If you’ve done things like this on another wikiproject (eg. Recent changes patrol ) Tankishguy :)(: (talk) 23:33, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- Tankishguy Good day. You do not need to go throught CVUA program to request for Recent change patrol right as long as you meet the below criteria:
- 1. Have a registered account and routinely edit Wikipedia.
- 2. Maintain a reasonable editing history.
- 3. Read and understand the policy on vandalism.
- 4. Know core content policies: biographies of living persons WP:BLP, neutral point of view WP:NPOV , no original research WP:OR, verifiability WP:V , and what Wikipedia is not WP:NOT.
- 5. Be familiar with Wikipedia’s copyright policy – WP:COPYVIO.
- 6. Read the guideline on reviewing guideline on reviewing.
- Please also read – Wikipedia:Recent changes patrol and you can request the user right at WP:PERM/PCR. Regards. Cassiopeia talk 04:59, 12 October 2025 (UTC)

Hi, noticed that you had been reverting a lot of edits that were attempting to remove this name from Magomed_Zaynukov. Not sure if you are aware (I wasn’t until I learnt this fact a few weeks ago), but John Pork is an internet meme, and any reference to it is 99% likely vandalism Mfield (Oi!) 02:47, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- Mfield Good day. The source you provided is not a reliable source. The nick name for the source is at the bottom of the of the info box – or see here. The editor didn’t like the well-sourced nick name and reverted it/add it back without providing a independent, reliable source to support the claim for vefication or WP:BURDEN which is the core policy of Wikipedia, but on their own opinion. Cassiopeia talk 04:26, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hey Cassiopeia – I was surprised to see an unblock request from you crop up in my watchlist. Sorry to see this, but really – how many times have you advised CVUA students not to get caught up in edit wars, and to make sure they stay strictly within the carve-outs at WP:3RRNO. Yes, the nickname has a source – whether it is WP:DUE to mention it in the infobox is another matter, and one which reasonable editors might disagree on. If you were to indicate that you understand you should not have engaged in edit warring over this point, and undertake to be more careful, I imagine you would be unblocked pretty quickly. Girth Summit (blether) 14:00, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- Girth Summit The editors removed sourced content which was a vandalism edit. They didnt like the info (nick name) because the subject said in interview they dont like it and I guess they offend to them because they are Muslim. Cassiopeia talk 22:27, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- That’s not vandalism Cass. It might be motivated by something the subject said, but that doesn’t make it vandalism. Girth Summit (blether) 22:34, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- No, removed sourced content and doest not provide independent, reliable to support it is not a good faith edit and is vandalism. We agree that we disagree here. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 22:37, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Cassiopeia, I’m shocked to see this from such an experienced editor. Please refamiliarize yourself with WP:NOTVAND. — asilvering (talk) 22:57, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- Asilvering Thank you for your message and I stand on my edit. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 23:00, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- Well, I guess I never thought I’d find myself in this situation with an experienced CVUA trainer. This isn’t even an edge case or a close call – the edit you reverted was absolutely not vandalism. Removing sourced content is something that editors do all the time in good faith, and often justifiably. If an article is bloated with irrelevant (but reliably sourced) details, removing it is often the right call per WP:SIZE; if an article on a contentious topic gives an unbalanced amount of coverage to a fringe viewpoint, we remove it even when it is sourced per WP:DUE. If non-notable family members are named in an article, even with a source, we typically remove them per WP:BLPNAME. I could go on – the range of situations where the removal of reliably sourced content is appropriate is wide. Vandalism does not expand to ‘edits which are made our of deference to the subject’s wishes’, unless (and this would be a narrow exception) the subject has gone on social media and said ‘I think it would be really funny if my followers went and vandalised my Wikipedia page or similar. Removing a potentially derogatory nickname from a BLP is absolutely, 100% not vandalism, and I feel that I should warn you that I would block you myself if I saw you doing that again. I regret that I had to say that. Girth Summit (blether) 07:05, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- Girth Summit I could explain more about my actions, but I don’t think it would make much difference, as I’ve been here long enough to understand how communication with admins works. Also, I don’t have the English skills to express my thoughts as well as most of you. I appreciate that you took the time to offer advice and do what you believe is right and dont regret what you would do or have said since you had said it. I have contributed to Wikipedia for many years as a way to give back to both Wikipedia and society, and I believe I have done my part. Take care, Girth. Cassiopeia talk 11:13, 14 October 2025 (UTC)

Weekly Tasks
Latest tech news from the Wikimedia technical community. Please tell other users about these changes. Not all changes will affect you. Translations are available.
Weekly highlight
- Last week, improvements to account security and two-factor authentication (2FA) features were enabled across all wikis. These changes include user interface improvements for Special:AccountSecurity, the support of multiple 2FA methods via authenticator apps and portable security keys (previously users could only enable one method), and a new Recovery Codes module which facilitates fewer account lockouts due to lost two-factor apps and devices. As part of the Account Security project, work is continuing through the rest of 2025 on further user experience improvements, and support for passkeys as an alternate second factor.
Updates for editors
- Another part of the Account security project is making 2FA generally available to all users. Along with editors with advanced privileges, such as administrators and bureaucrats, 40% of editors now have access to 2FA. You can check if you have access at Special:AccountSecurity. Instructions for activation are on the linked page. The plan is to continue increasing availability if it is determined that the user support capabilities are able to support global usage. [1]
- This week, users at wikis where talk page Usability Improvements are already available by default (everywhere except the 12 wikis listed in T379264) will gain the ability to Thank a comment directly from the talk page it appears on. Before this change, Thanking could only be done by visiting the revision history of the talk page. You can learn more about this change. [2]
- Users who have not verified their email address will soon be receiving monthly Notification reminders to do so. This is because users who have verified their email can more easily recover their account. These reminders will not be sent if the user is inactive or removes the unverified email from their account. [3][4]
View all 21 community-submitted tasks that were resolved last week. For example, a fix was made for an occasional error with saving translated paragraphs in the Content Translation tool, and the related error messages are now easier to see. [5]
Updates for technical contributors
- The Unsupported Tools Working Group has chosen Video2Commons as the first tool for its pilot cycle. The group will explore ways to improve and sustain the tool over the coming months. Learn more on Meta.
