- Do I need to disclose that here? I am also happy to make edits to the content so that it is purely informational and not reading promotional. I work for eleeo brands and noticed our brand companies were not in Wikipedia for referencing so I thought it was appropriate to add pertinent company info. Nonetheless, to be unblocked, disclosing that you’re a paid editor and changing your username are not enough. You need to convince an administrator that you understand the reasons for your block and that you’ll follow our policies and guidelines going forward, which includes WP:NOTPROMO and WP:COI. - Your draft just summarized the offerings of your company and its routine business activities; this does not establish that your company is a notable company as Wikipedia defines one. The vast majority of companies are not notable. A Wikipedia article about a company must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the company, showing how it is notable.
- Writing a new article is the most difficult task to perform on Wikipedia even without a conflict of interest, it’s harder with one. You need to set aside everything you know about your company, all materials it puts out, all reporting of routine activities, and only write based on the content of independent sources. That is usually very, very difficult for people in your position to do, and it is rarely achieved- though it can happen. The point is that, it is rare. Are you the rare person who can do it? Possibly, but the odds are against it.
- Be advised that an article is not neccesarily desirable. There are good reasons to not want one. Anything about your company, good or bad, can go into an article about it at long as it appears in an independent source and is not defamatory. Disgruntled customers can vandalize it, if only temporarily. Please see WP:BOSS, and show it to your superiors and/or colleagues.
- All of that said, if you are not dissuaded from attempting to write, what are your absolute best three independent reliable sources with significant coverage of your company? A good metric to judge a source with is WP:42. 331dot (talk) 20:36, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
