Hello @Balsam Cottonwood – I truly appreciate your thoughtful and comprehensive welcome message. The resources you’ve shared are incredibly helpful, and I’m grateful for the guidance as I get oriented with Wikipedia’s editing practices.
I’m particularly interested in improving articles related to educational institutions and cultural heritage sites in India, especially those in Maharashtra. With a background in education, I have access to several reliable sources that I hope can meaningfully contribute to enhancing Wikipedia’s content.
I’ve set up my user page and have started familiarising myself with the editing tools. The WikiGnome philosophy of making small, thoughtful improvements really resonates with me, and I plan to gradually take on broader article development as I grow more confident.
If you have any tips on engaging effectively with WikiProject Education or WikiProject India, I’d love to hear them.
Thanks once again for the kind welcome and encouragement!

- Sure, no problem! I actually don’t really know anything about WikiProject Education or WikiProject India, as I don’t participate in those projects myself. However, if you would like to participate in these projects, you can, if you haven’t already, just add your name to the following pages:
- Once that is done, you will be a participant in both those projects, although you probably already are. 🌳 Balsam Cottonwood (talk) ✝ 08:23, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
- Also, I must say, you really seem to know a lot about Wikitext and formatting, for being so new. It took me a little while to even figure out about the Userboxtop and Userboxbottom templates for organizing userboxes, and you produced this on your first try. My own user page, in contrast, originally looked like this. (It looks a lot different now.) 🌳 Balsam Cottonwood (talk) ✝ 08:38, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

- Thank you again, @Balsam!
- I’ve actually been a long-time Wikipedia reader and occasionally made unregistered edits in the past. Eventually, I realized that editing without an account came with several limitations—especially when it came to watchlisting, page creation, and building collaborative relationships. So I finally took the step to register and contribute more consistently and meaningfully.
- Looking forward to learning and collaborating further! EduExplorer47 (talk) 09:44, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

- I have no strong opinion on whether this article should remain or be deleted. While Khalid Al Ameri frequently appears in top search results when looking for UAE influencers—indicating some level of public prominence—I leave the final decision to community consensus based on notability and sourcing guidelines. I’m not particularly invested in retaining the article. EduExplorer47 (talk) 09:05, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

An article you recently created, Sharjah Education Council, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can’t be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I’ve moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of “Draft:” before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia’s general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the “Submit your draft for review!” button at the top of the page. Hello. You’re invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We’re aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It commenced yesterday on Monday June 16 and will run until Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible! Feel free to invite others who you think might want to contribute.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:07, 17 June 2025 (UTC)

Hello EduExplorer47. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia’s mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a “black hat” practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:EduExplorer47. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=EduExplorer47|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Children Will Listen (🐄 talk, 🫘 contribs) 19:09, 10 January 2026 (UTC)

I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

The article Alfarisi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No significant coverage here, journals cited do not appear to be relevant or are press releases
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article’s talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Peter James (talk) 10:17, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
