Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, website, or role, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text “Your proposed new username” with your new username and replace the text “Your reason here” with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you’d like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text “Your reason here” with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Randykitty (talk) 12:03, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I apologize for the misunderstanding. I did not intend to advertise. I am Seyyed Qasem Heshami, an expert at the journal and responsible for its registration and credibility. My intention was to create a Wikipedia page for the journal because it is the first of its kind in the field of artificial intelligence and medicine in Iran, a fact confirmed by interviews in news agencies (isna.ir/xdVprS). I now understand that my initial approach was promotional and violated Wikipedia’s policies.
I am not financially compensated for this; it is part of my role to establish the journal’s academic presence. I understand the reason for the block and assure you that I will not repeat promotional edits. I have familiarized myself with Wikipedia’s neutral point of view and notability guidelines. If unblocked, I intend to contribute constructively to relevant medical and AI topics, and any future edits regarding the journal will be made through the AfC process with a neutral, encyclopedic tone.
I propose to change my username to SeyyedQasemHeshami. InfoPub.InfoScienceTrends (talk) 09:14, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Administrators should consider discussing any unblock with the blocking administrator (see the blocking policy).

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, please replace this template with the following:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following, replacing {{subst:Decline reason here}} with any specific rationale. If you do not edit the text after “decline=”, a default reason why the request was declined will be inserted.

If you are employed by the publishers of the journal, you are a paid editor, it does not require specific compensation for editing Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 09:50, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Wikipedia is not a directory, so a company or organization is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article merely for the fact that it exists. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia’s definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of a company or organization, it must meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations. For this to happen, the company or organization must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. Trivial coverage will not count towards establishing notability. We also have no interest in what a company or organization wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest.
