Hi Ivebeenhacked, thanks for adding articles to Selected aniversaries (WP:OTD). When adding entries, please do not replace an entry. Instead, add your entry to the “Eligible” list. This allows articles to be re-used in future years, while also letting your suggestion be considered for the set when the hooks are swapped. Please let me know if you have any questions and happy editing! Z1720 (talk) 13:32, 12 December 2025 (UTC)

Hello! I don’t know much about aviation, but when Brasher warning was AfDed I tried to save it and turn it into Pilot deviation. Would you be so kind to take a look for errors and omissions? Thanks! Polygnotus (talk) 07:02, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Polygnotus: Probably asking a question which has an obvious answer but just to be like 100% sure, are you asking me to review Pilot deviation itself? Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 07:24, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- Yup. Review sounds very formal, but if you can have a look to see if I did something stupid.
Polygnotus (talk) 07:31, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Polygnotus: All looks good. I’ve seen the article and I can see you haven’t done anything stupid at all. All seems fine, well done. I’ve also added a bunch of content in the article. I may, in a span of a few days, pop back in the article and make slow addition of content where it seems right. But otherwise, all the content seems good. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 08:38, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you! When I found the article it wasn’t great, so I tried to fix it up a bit but I find it difficult writing about a topic I am no expert in. Nice work! Polygnotus (talk) 08:51, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- Absolutely no problem. If you need assistance in any other articles regarding aviation, feel free to reach back out to me. Thank you. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 08:56, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks’ noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the template.

- I want you to tell me exactly what I’ve done wrong. Don’t simply template me, a template which helps me in no way. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 08:08, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
- I was not aware that you made a response here.
- No you did nothing wrong, in fact your conduct was really good in our content dispute.
- The template I used is just a basic notification that the topics concerning India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal and other South Asian countries fall under WP:CTOP. Thanks. THEZDRX (User) | (Contact) 10:31, 1 December 2025 (UTC)

Hey man, @LightandSalvation here from the president of France page, I wanted to thank you for fixing my edit, I have never done a redirect before, so thank you LightandSalvation (talk) 21:51, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- That’s ironic, I just left a message on your talk page, LMAO. I just wanted to say that what you did wasn’t wrong and technically didn’t need a change, I just misunderstood what you were doing, but you’re welcome anyway. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 21:54, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hey man we’re editors, LMAO, also you’re LightandSalvation (talk) 21:55, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I’ve never really made that kind of mistake before, I always used to criticise people in my head whenever they made “you’re, your” mistakes as well as “their, they’re, there” mistakes. Seems like it’s catching up to me, Thank you. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 21:57, 30 November 2025 (UTC)

- Yeah I have like 413 edits, 82% the way there to extended-confirmed user status already, even though its only been 5 days since I made my account lol. I usually edit 9-14 hours a day, everyday since LightandSalvation (talk) 22:04, 30 November 2025 (UTC)

- I’m tryna make it to 2,000 edits this month. I got 1 hour and 48 minutes left and I still have about 50 edits left so this is helping me if you think about it. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 22:11, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah man I’ll gladly get you to your goal for today LightandSalvation (talk) 22:18, 30 November 2025 (UTC)

- We’ll see about December but I was talking about November, but from what I can see, I had 12,147 edits at the start of November and I’m trying to hit 14,147 at the end of this month, November. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 22:22, 30 November 2025 (UTC)

- Sorry, but I’d rather not say. It’s not you but I just don’t want everyone else to know. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 22:53, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah idk why UTC is the time for Wikipedia LightandSalvation (talk) 22:52, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- Pretty sure because UTC time zone is a neutral time zone, it’s probably not make make a country look more important than others. For example, if it used GMT zone, it’ll make the United Kingdom look more important than other countries. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 22:55, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I guess all time zones east or west start from UTC so its very neutral to use it LightandSalvation (talk) 23:11, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- Good point. That’s probably what they were thinking. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 23:12, 30 November 2025 (UTC)

- I genuinely didn’t know this. Fun fact of the day! Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 23:18, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah me neither, I always wondered why if it’s Coordinated Universal Time, why is it abbreviated UTC and not CUT LightandSalvation (talk) 23:33, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I think it’s because “UTC does not correspond to the English word order CUT (Coordinated Universal Time) or the French word order TUC (Temps Universel Coordonne). Instead, UTC was adopted as a compromise, serving as a standardized and linguistically neutral abbreviation for international use.” I mean that’s what Coordinated Universal Time says. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 23:37, 30 November 2025 (UTC)

I think, because I’m obviously an aviation enthusiast, I just want people to see my skill and knowledge in Wikipedia articles, aviation ones specifically. I also don’t like the vandalism being done here in Wikipedia, I’m sure every dedicated Wikipedia editors don’t like it either. It’s the same story for grammar errors, too. Hi Ivebeenhacked. Just so you know, I had an edit conflict with @NotJamestack, so it wasn’t exactly a mistake that my answer replaced theirs (see their talk page for why). That being said, there’s no reason why both can’t be there now that I think about it, so all’s good. Chess enjoyer (talk) 04:02, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
- I restored NotJamestack’s comment because it was obvious you didn’t mean to remove it. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 04:14, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
- Except, I did mean to remove it, but now realize I shouldn’t have. Thanks for restoring it. Chess enjoyer (talk) 04:18, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Francisco Mariano Nipho, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

What do you mean “Quit adding these.”? Its been on the page since it was created, not added over and over. Grffffff (talk) 18:52, 3 December 2025 (UTC)

I’m so happy to see Aloha IslandAir Flight 1712 on Wikipedia! I can’t thank you enough for getting the article to the standards for publishing. I was in school when I was writing that, and never really got to finish it. I’m happy to be continuing to pursue aviation, and it’s awesome to know there is an easy to access resource for what seemed to be, while I was researching, a fairly obscure accident. It makes me very happy to know that this information will be available to future pilots, and, in a way, help in memorializing the victims of this accident, in a very small but permanent way. Niko (talk) 06:06, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Aviay: You’re welcome. It’s quite an honor to finish a piece of work you started. The amount of content you added already gave me a significant boost on time and it wasn’t too difficult finishing the rest your work. This article will definitely help memorialise the victims of this accident and that’s all I had in mind while writing the rest of the article, I’m sure you did, too, when writing your portion of the content.
- I genuinely hope the best for your career, piloting is what I’m assuming you’re gonna be? Because, thing is, that’s what I wanna be one day as well.
- Once again, it was quite an honor completing work that you started. I really appreciate this and you reaching out to me. Have a very wonderful journey ahead of you in the upcoming 2026 and the rest of the future.

In the article about the Yom Kippur War, the outcome is presented as either an Israeli victory or an indecisive result according to various historians. However, there are also historians who believe that Egypt achieved victory in the war. Please add this point.

Please add this point along with its sources to the article. ~2025-39401-90 (talk) 12:45, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

- Hello. I’ve added the information in the article. I’ve only added the first cite as it clearly stated what you were requesting. For the second cite, I could only see that the book was referring to when Egypt destroyed the Bar Lev line and when Egyptian forces crossed the Suez to the west of it, and Israel pushed back anyway, so that’s why I didn’t add that one. For the third cite, I currently don’t have access to it. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 16:59, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, but the casualties listed in the infobox do not match the casualties shown in the article. ~2025-39555-03 (talk) 02:59, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- Are you talking about the Moroccans? Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 03:37, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- No, the losses are different between the infobox and the article. For example, in the infobox, it mentions that Israel lost between 102 and 387, but in the losses section, there are 102. ~2025-39937-01 (talk) 07:28, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

TWA Flight 800 Zaptain United (talk) 17:42, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- I mean it seems redundant to me so I usually remove it. Casual readers won’t understand anyway. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 17:44, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- I tried to remove them in the past but a editor reverted it. Zaptain United (talk) 17:45, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- Then I think you should reach out to them and tell them your reasoning, hear their reasoning, and come up with a solution/compromise. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 17:48, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

- But it’ll probably be better if you simply reach out to him, I don’t know what to say here. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 18:13, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Zaptain United kept removing it saying it was “complicated”, then I modified it to (TW800/TWA800) because you usually want some info from the infobox into the prose (WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE). It looks like it’s fine to use via Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Style guide. This could have been settled at the article’s talk page last month. – The Grid (talk) 23:32, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- I understand. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 23:33, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

what is your opinion on the saab 340? Sinai Peninsula (talk) 18:37, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- I don’t really have opinions on the Saab 340, only that the cockpit seems easy to learn, to me atleast. But its successor, the Saab 2000, didn’t do a good job. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 18:41, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
