I keep trying to get my Christmas present ready: Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Unser Mund sei voll Lachens, BWV 110/archive2. If you have the time, please check if you can still support after I added things and rephrased for flow. — Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:49, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done Jimfbleaktalk to me? 09:11, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! – Look, today’s image, – she “portrayed” herself with her husband at the end of the table, – would have been good for Thanksgiving 😉 —Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:39, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Gerda Arendt we Brits don’t do Thanksgiving, but just like Christmas dinner chez Jim. The right-hand portrait on the wall looks like Karl Marx Jimfbleaktalk to me? 14:01, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I’m sure it’s Marx, and Engels opposite 😉 —Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:06, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Gerda Arendt, I wondered about Engels, but wasn’t so sure what he looked like. When I was young (sigh…) I lived walking distance from Marx’s grave in Highgate Cemetery, so no doubt there. “Workers of All Lands Unite” Jimfbleaktalk to me? 14:13, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Like Brahms, Engels looked different with full beard and without. —Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:26, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My story today is a Bach cantata, mentioned with the Christmas cantata, and the conductor of the video is mentioned by name in movement 1. Thank you for your support! Today’s ecumenical service was dominated by brass sound. —Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:36, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Jimfbleak why did you delete my page “Hesham Rakha”? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Heshamrakha (talkcontribs) 12:48, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Replied on user talk page and commented on new draft, which has no proper refs. Jimfbleaktalk to me? 14:14, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Jimfbleak. I am new to this. How doe you think my shorter version is? I removed all references to my work and kept it very simple with independent references. Do you think this is fine now? Heshamrakha (talk) 14:16, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Heshamrakha: It’s still largely unsourced, and none of your honours and awards have an independent third-party reference. It’s still full of external links in the text, including many of the honours and awards. Worldcat isn’t a proper source, and only links, once again, to your own publications. Everything needs a reference or to be removed, all the external links like Virginia Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (VASEM) Member need to be replaced by fact+reference, or removed. You can have a list of your main publications in a separate section if preferred, with no references for the items. They should not be used as references either, since by definition they are not independent third-party sources as required here. Jimfbleaktalk to me? 15:09, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Jimfbleak. Could you check now? I really appreciate all your help! Heshamrakha (talk) 18:20, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Heshamrakha: much better, but ref 11 is a bare url, refs 14 and 15 are bare urls to a source I’ve already said above is unsuitable. The Mail Online (ref 35) is a deprecated source, better if you can find an alternative. When you are ready, add {{subst:submit}} at the top and save to request a review. Because of your COI don’t move the article to article space yourself, Jimfbleaktalk to me? 08:53, 26 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Jimfbleak. Thanks! for ref 11, I tried to have proof that I am an IEEE member. I added a second reference to it (ref. 12). If that is better, I can delete 11. Unfortunately, refs 15 and 16 (14 and 15 before) are the only references I could find to my MSc and PhD theses. I could not find another reference other than The Mail Online (ref 36). I did add the quotation marks to the titles of my papers. Should I add more references or are those enough. I will do as you suggest to add what you suggested to submit. I am still working on the copyright of my photo. Should I wait on clearing the copyright? Heshamrakha (talk) 12:37, 26 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I resolved ref 11 Heshamrakha (talk) 13:01, 26 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Heshamrakha: I made these changes, please check. Also, it’s customary here to put article titles in quote marks, eg Shafik, A.; Rakha, H.A. “Decentralized Cycle-Free Game-Theoretic Adaptive Traffic Signal Control: Model Enhancement and Testing on Isolated Signalized Intersections“, Sensors 2025, 25(20), 6339, but I don’t know if it’s mandatory, so I’ll leave that to you and the reviewer Jimfbleaktalk to me? 09:11, 26 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Heshamrakha For something relatively minor, like your MSc and PhD, you could probably get away with referencing to a site associated with you, but if you keep the existing refs, you can’t leave them as bare urls links. I think for those refs and the Mail, you will have to see what the reviewer says. These items are not crucial to you being notable enough for an article, so they could go if necessary. You have enough refs. I would wait for the image copyright, it shouldn’t take long. The wait for a review can be up to two months, but they are not done in chronological order, so the more straightforward your article looks, the sooner you might get a review. Jimfbleak. Thanks! I have fixed all issues you mentioned. Once I get the OK on the photo, I will plan on releasing the page. Thanks for all your help! Heshamrakha (talk) 22:53, 26 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jim, can you please unprotect the Japanese transport Hirokawa Maru article – I’ve created a good article for this ship. Also please unprotect Japanese transport Kinugawa Maru and I’ll have a go at that too. Regards Franzo (talk) 05:28, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Franzo, unprotected the first, second wasn’t protected anyway. Looking at your sandbox, the text needs more wikilinks and the ship’s name should be italicised throughout, cheers Jimfbleaktalk to me? 06:32, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers! Franzo (talk) 07:16, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Jimfbleak. I have published my article without references, because it was hard to me to add references in code window. Then I added all refs in editing mode, but now I can’t publish changes. This isn’t “conflict of interest”. I have translated the article existing in ru-wiki. This man has not any connections to me. So, could you please restore this article?

Dear @jimfbleak , this is Mohammad El Medawar, inventor of the first ever Microsoft Excel Simulator. Because of my invention, Microsoft gave me a recognition award called Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional). Moreover, because of my invention, I won the Global Excel Awards for the Most Innovative Use of Excel.

I am afraid someone tries to take the credit for himself before I do, so I appreciate if you can help me write an article about it. Here are the official references:

Yes correct I used AI because I’m not an expert in writing articles so please help me protect my invention.
