Currently, WikiShield offers warnings for inappropriate edit summary and for misleading edit summary, but there doesn’t seem to be an option to warn for not having an edit summary at all. If you feel like adding that, I’d really appreciate it. lp0 on fire () 17:28, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Lp0 on fire Yeah I can add that, expect it in the next day =) – LuniZunie(talk) 17:33, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- Also, the coi warnings don’t seem to work properly. I wanted to warn someone with uw-coi so I pressed “coi” under warnings, and it warned them with uw-coi-username. Under “advanced”, the “notice” and “warning” options both give error messages saying that template doesn’t exist, so maybe it’s configured wrong?
- (Yes, I finally got around to trying WikiShield) lp0 on fire () 18:15, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hm, that’s strange… I know the coi notice and warning don’t work in the user logs (since they need edits), but I’ll check that out. Been a bit busy lately but should be done within a day. Cheers! – LuniZunie(talk) 18:16, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I hope you have a nice day.
How long does it take on average for edits to be viewed?
Thank you in advance! —Fanaccounts223399 (talk) 16:11, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Fanaccounts223399 What do you mean exactly? Like, how long for them to be viewed by readers, or by another editor? Or something else? – LuniZunie(talk) 16:13, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- By another editor! Sorry for the unclear question. Fanaccounts223399 (talk) 16:14, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Fanaccounts223399 No all good! It can depend, if the edit is flagged as suspicious or is on a high traffic page, a few seconds. But it can also take months to even years in rare cases if it’s a low traffic page or it’s a time a day where not many editors are on. It all really depends, but I would say between a few minutes and a few days it has probably been looked at. – LuniZunie(talk) 16:16, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

how do facts get certified after being published on a wiki page —Lutron (talk) 19:06, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- We use citations! There are some templates that help us, but we use reliable sources to make sure a reader can prove that what is written is correct. – LuniZunie(talk) 19:14, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
Hello! I just wanted to know if it is impolite for me to fix grammatical errors in other articles. I was just wondering because i certainly want to remain respectful on this site. —Airbornebleach (talk) 19:31, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Airbornebleach Not at all! Feel free to edit, that’s the whole point of Wikipedia =D – LuniZunie(talk) 19:53, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
Could you perhaps give explanation on “whats not happening” and i do apologise for my edit that broke the page. Melty love (talk) 20:06, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Melty love That page is for vandals and compromised accounts. A user with 17k edits is not going to be a vandal. You can file a report at Wikipedia:Administrators’ noticeboard/Edit warring or Wikipedia:Administrators’ noticeboard/Incidents. – LuniZunie(talk) 20:09, 4 February 2026 (UTC)

@Rosguill https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:LuniZunie&diff=prev&oldid=1336611373 still has the username in the signature, would revdel-ing be possible? Cheers! (feel free to revert this message) monkeysmashingkeyboards (talk) 21:24, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Rosguill Also, the diff needs rd’ing since the user signed it. – LuniZunie(talk) 21:25, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Sure thing. For what it’s worth, my reasoning for not doing that initially is that while the edit was obviously tendentious, it’s not as immediately disturbing and disruptive as having their username in your page’s edit history. signed, Rosguill talk 21:27, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- I also assume it takes a lot of time to do this for every sock. – LuniZunie(talk) 21:28, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- make an account specifically for LTA hunting that can’t be linked back to you!! amazing ideas right here :3 monkeysmashingkeyboards (talk) 21:29, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Rosguill Found some more that need to be revdelled. Check email. —Prothe1st (leave me a message)– 21:38, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- I took care of the one diff you identified that I could action, but as the others have had oversight partially applied, I apparently do not have account permissions to do any further revision editing on them (even though technically speaking I would not be undoing the OS). signed, Rosguill talk 21:42, 4 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi, thank you for offering to mentor me. I’m new to Wikipedia editing and would appreciate guidance on best practices for starting out, especially around user pages, draft articles, and notability guidelines. Any advice on beginner-friendly contributions would be very helpful. —Lianathewriter085 (talk) 08:30, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Lianathewriter085 Hey! Editing Wikipedia can be hard, so I would suggest starting with simple things such as sentence structure, wording, grammar, and linkage. You can go to random pages and do this, or, alternatively, you could use Special:Homepage. – LuniZunie(talk) 12:11, 6 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello I want to know how to edit —Maki Agnes (talk) 12:43, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Maki Agnes It’s actually really simple! There is a button in the top right corner of most pages that says “edit”. If you click that, you can see the source code of the page and start editing it =) – LuniZunie(talk) 14:52, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi there @LuniZunie,
Hope you are well
I noticed you messaged User:~2025-32042-62 in reference to their editing of Frankly (book) back in November and December 2025.
As of February 2026, this user continues to add claims without providing citations, and now the user is badmouthing me personally in the summary section and using it as commentary, clearly showing an angle of disdain against the author of the book and they’ve shown that when they add in their edits without sources/citations again and they keep repeating it.
What steps are there to take if the user keeps doing it because it is getting quite out of hand and it appears to be the only page that this user keeps editing?
Many thanks!
KeyKing666 (talk) 04:14, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
- @KeyKing666 Thanks for reaching out, I’ve gone ahead and restored an earlier version. The TA clearly is a problem. At this point, nothing can be done since the TA is expired (they only last 90 days), unless the underlying IP were to be blocked. However that would not make sense in this situation. To prevent further DE, I’ll watch the page from now on. Cheers, – LuniZunie(talk) 04:28, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
