Hello, I am a 4th year medical student at the UCF college of medicine. I am participating in a course on improving the quality of medical articles on Wikipedia. I have chosen Anterior Spinal Artery Syndrome and the following is my current workplan.

General: Citations are lacking for many parts of this article, I will attempt to provide as much comprehensive referencing as possible from systematic reviews and appropriate literature.

Lead section: This section does a good job of defining the syndrome and discussing clinical relevance. I will add a brief summary of diagnosis and treatment while continuing to be concise.

Signs and Symptoms: I will expand on the clinical course of the syndrome, describing which symptoms are often acute and which symptoms may appear later.

Causes: This section can be improved in clarity by categorizing the different causes of the syndrome (ie iatrogenic, aortic pathologies, non-aortic pathologies, etc). I will also discuss risk factors when presenting the causes.

Anatomy: I will find an image to assist in visualizing this discussion.

Diagnosis: Currently empty. I will discuss modalities of choice and findings associated with the syndrome.

Treatment: This section discusses prognosis but not specific treatment options, I will expand on the details. I will also expand on any relevant statistics related to prognosis.

Epidemiology: There is currently no separate section for epidemiology. A sentence in the lead section states this is the most common form of spinal cord infarct. I will expand upon this in a separate epidemiology section and provide relevant statistics (what percent of incomplete spinal cord syndromes are anterior cord, incidence/prevalence, age ranges, etc)
