The use of French translations in this article was an extraordinary addition because, of course, that is one of the national languages of Senegal. Very inclusive and well thought out. I also thought the inclusion of the voting process and constitutional amendments was excellent because it set key context for the rest of the article.
Possibly as one added bit of context, it might be important to add that Senegal has a long history of youth mobilizations of this kind and therefore this culture of youth activism has given rise to multiple movements, including June 23
Secondly, I would suggest unlinking any articles that don’t exist. For example, there isn’t a wikipedia article for “Mouvement du 23 Juin” so linking it leads to an error message for readers. Same with “Rencontre Africaine de Défense des Droits de l’Homme,” “Mouvement Citoyen, Bes Du Ñak/Mouvement citoyen pour la Refondation Nationale,” and pretty much any other French links, which are all showing up red for readers. I think its the use of these articles that has led Wikipedia to flag this article as one that “may contain confusing or ambiguous abbreviations.”
This sentence was a little difficult to read so just as a revision: “Agriculture which employs a large share of the population, continued to struggle with rising food prices due to dependence on rain-fed farming, and the decline of the peanut sector which pushed many rural farmers into poverty.” —> “The agricultural sector employs a large share of Senegal’s population, so dependence on rain-fed farming and the decline of the peanut sector led to mass youth unemployment and pushed many rural farmers into poverty. ” Emmbrookeflather (talk) 04:59, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
