Many stub articles I see in my field (astrophysics) could be improved by including basic trigonometric calculations and galactic coordinate mapping to quantify the distance between various objects. Search the NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database (NED) or the SIMBAD astronomical database, which are well-regarded sources for astronomical data.

You can suggest the addition on the talk page, explain the calculation, and ask if any other editors know of a source that confirms the data. This might prompt a more experienced editor to find a suitable source or agree that the information is currently unsourceable.
