Hi Yenistardom. Thank you for your work on Tan Wŏltŭ. Another editor, Hey man im josh, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Not mentioned at the target in any capacity, unclear why this redirect makes sense.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Hey man im josh}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Hey man im josh (talk) 16:16, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Hey man im josh: I have just updated Body & Brain to include the name. That’s literally the name of the Korean Wikipedia article, ko:단월드. Please see my edit summary. 단월드 is transliterated as Tan Wŏltŭ. Yenistardom (talk) 17:11, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Is the romanization of 天理神之打分場所 (a Tenrikyo-based new religion founded by Watanabe Yoso) Tenri Kami no Uchiwake Basho? I’m not so sure. And what does 打分 mean in Japanese? And thank you very much in advance. Komitsuki (talk) 17:22, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Komitsuki: That’s an unusual name! In conventional contexts, 打分 is most likely pronounced dabun (the Chinese-derived pronunciation) if it’s part of a name. I’m not sure what it means in this context, but 打 means hit, and 分 means split. Sounds like the name of the deity is 天理神之打分? You’d have to check with the group itself to see how this name is supposed to be pronounced and what it means, or you’d have to find a source that has the furigana / kanji reading for the group’s name. However, religious groups in Japan often have unique ways of pronouncing kanji, such as Ananaikyō: 三五教 is supposed to be Sangokyō if we’re using the conventional reading, but the group says it’s Ananaikyō.
Do you have more information about this group? I’m researching Tenrikyo schisms, and this is the first time I’ve heard of this group. Yenistardom (talk) 12:59, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Roy Forbes (2005, footnote 101 on page 137) says it’s 天理神之打開場所 Tenri Kami no Uchi-ake Basho. Another organization is 天理神之口明場所 Tenri Kami no Kuchi-ake Basho. And then there’s 修養団捧誠会 Shūyōdan Hōseikai. Yenistardom (talk) 13:08, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that this book largely describes about 天理神之打分場所. It looks like it’s a line of successor of Tenri Sanrinkō (天理三輪講), but with more interpretation from Buddhism, particularly the teachings of Maitreya (弥勒). See also this Yahoo! Japan’s Q&A post.
My recent idea is that 打分 should be of a native Japanese reading and it could be 打ち分かる. 打ち that means “very, fully, deeply, completely” and 分かる that means “to understand”. I think 天理神之打分場所 would mean “the place where the kami/god of Tenri (heavenly principle) is fully understood”. By my attempt to understand this, I think the romanization could be Tenri Kami no Uchiwakari Basho, but I could be wrong.
By the way, I have plenty of sources to create articles for 天理神の打開場所 and 天理神之口明場所 in English. And I plan to talk about 天理神之打分場所 in the future article on 天理神の打開場所 as a tiny sidenote. Komitsuki (talk) 14:00, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Komitsuki: That looks like a good analysis. With enough context, now this totally makes sense. I’ll be looking forward to your new article(s)! I will also see if I can buy a copy of 弥勒菩薩と天と王の里. Yenistardom (talk) 14:05, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This website largely covers a lot of things on Tenrikyo’s “children organizations”. Komitsuki (talk) 14:29, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Komitsuki: Thanks, this is quite useful. It might be worth visiting the headquarters of some of these organizations to find out more about them. A lot can be learned by collecting books and touring their facilities if they let outsiders in. However, this isn’t always doable, since Honmichi and Sekai Shindokyo and some others are notoriously secretive and refuse to let uninvited outsiders in. Yenistardom (talk) 14:35, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did my best creating the Tenri Kami no Uchiake Basho article. The information is accessable with good citations. Komitsuki (talk) 17:03, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Komitsuki: Good work! The bilingual quotes in the footnotes are very helpful. Yenistardom (talk) 18:05, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just got back from my business trip. Thank you. Komitsuki (talk) 08:18, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I’m currently collecting more information on other Tenrikyo-based religious organizations and planning to start producing one article around the end of this month as a start. It will take time and I’ll do my best. Komitsuki (talk) 04:44, 5 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Komitsuki: Thanks, I will be looking forward to your work. Yenistardom (talk) 13:17, 23 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I created Kanrodai (Japanese New Religion) and it was really difficult to find useful citations. Enjoy it, please. Komitsuki (talk) 17:50, 27 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Finally straightened out the etymology issue of Tenri Kami no Uchiake Basho. Komitsuki (talk) 04:51, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Komitsuki: Thank you for your excellent work. These are very helpful articles. I hope you can keep contributing! Yenistardom (talk) 18:34, 28 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The next one would either be a splinter sect of Tenri Kami no Kuchiake Basho or Sanri Sanfukugen. Real life work is lagging me behind. Komitsuki (talk) 03:12, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Update: I discovered new citations for Sanri Sanfukugen that explain a lot of its history, therefore the organization of them would take some time. And I’m also collecting information on new Buddhist religions in Japan and South Korea. It’s going to be very complex. Komitsuki (talk) 10:56, 3 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I will look forward to your new article about Sanri Sanfukugen. Yenistardom (talk) 13:16, 3 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Finally done. It was a huge pain to organize the citations, but it was well worth it. And I’m also researching a lot on a couple of South Korean university professors working in China., if you’re interested. I think I’m going to do a child sect of Tenri Kami no Kuchiake Basho soon. It will take a lot of time to organize the citations. Komitsuki (talk) 04:38, 9 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I streamlined the two citations in Zenrinkyō with quotes.
Now about Tenrikyo’s daughter sects. I’m planning to make the Hinomoto Shinseikō (日の本神誠講) article. Hinomoto Shinseikō is odd because it shares the very same address with a separate Shinto shrine and I also need to organize good citations about this separate Shinto shrine. It’s also odd because Hinomoto Shinseikō’s splinter sect relatively thrives and runs a private preschool, but the information about it is very rare online. Overall, it will take some time. I will most likely complete the Hinomoto Shinseikō article right before Christmas.
I could create a brand new article on Tenrikyo during the first or second week of December. It’s overall complicated. Komitsuki (talk) 12:39, 27 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yenistardom, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.

This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:

You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you’re not alone! signed, Rosguill talk 20:27, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would recommend waiting a little longer than 10 minutes before redirecting/dratifying a newly-created article. From the instances I’ve seen, I doubt that they would be notable, but it’s up to the creator to establish that without the first hour after creation. aesurias (talk) 09:34, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Aesurias: Thanks! I’ve read all the new page patrol and notability guidelines very closely, but I’ll keep this in mind and will give editors some time for newly created pages. Yenistardom (talk) 09:36, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have been scolded for doing the same thing even though it is technically allowed. Different people see things differently so I prefer to err on the side of caution, or at least wait a little longer than 10 minutes. If you plan to renew your NPR trial, things like that would be scrutinized even though you’ve technically done nothing wrong. Best, aesurias (talk) 09:37, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Noted, I will stick to carefully reviewing new pages that are at least around 15 minutes old. Yenistardom (talk) 09:38, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to ask about the notability tag you placed on the article I recently created. I used several independent secondary sources with in-depth coverage, so I was hoping you could clarify which part you think may still fall short of the notability guideline.

I’d really appreciate your insight so I can improve the article properly. Thank you so much for your time! ACROM12 [TALK] 13:58, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Acrom12: Thanks, now I think most of the sources are reliable. I have removed the tag for now. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! Yenistardom (talk) 14:04, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
