I notice that you’ve been setting up archiving for very large talk pages (presumably based off queries such as [[Wikipedia:Database reports/Long pages/User talk (no subpages)|this one]], and got blowback from a couple of users. I’ve already complained about {{u|EEng}}’s talk page size too many times; somebody else is going to have to deal with that. For {{u|Haoreima}}, I think it’s worth having a word. Hey chief, infobox issues similar to those we recently discussed (closing brackets wreaking havoc) at Komsomolsky City District, Kaybitsky District, Kamsko-Ustyinsky District, Dobryansky District, and Aukh District. No worries, all fixed, just wanted to give you a heads up in case you’re doing something different that caused this lil flurry of errors. Cheers! @Jessicapierce: why would you waste a perfectly good opportunity to trout me?! Seriously though I’ve very sorry… I had a bad REGEX. I thought I had cleaned them all up once I discovered it but obviously I missed some. Thanks for your diligent efforts! —Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 17:20, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would never trout you, I’m too much of an impossibly nice person for that. Honestly, anybody who knows how to command these automatic processes has my huge respect, even if they do go sideways once in a while. I secretly really enjoy fixing a super bitched-up page, just to see it spring back into perfection when I refresh the page. Small pleasures. 🙂 Jessicapierce (talk) 21:41, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Haha! Hey we all have the things we like to do… 🙂 – Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 22:27, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ooh, thank you for doing whatever you did on my talk page! Literally every time I look at the thing, I think “Christ I should deal with this” but then I just… don’t. I worked out how to archive it at some point, but it’s obviously been a while since I did so, so I’d have to Google it all over again. Is there anything I should do next? Jessicapierce (talk) 22:46, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nope! Just wait. A bot will come along eventually and auto-archive everything older than 90 days. You can mess with the settings to do it more often if you want. There is also a great user script here that makes it easy to one click archive. — Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 22:48, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Zackmann. I see you’re adding something like Foo{{Pluralize from text|{{{foo|}}}|plural=s}} to a bunch of infoboxes. This may be a bit over-aggressive. There are many text inputs that are ambiguous (e.g., “Frog and Toad” could be a book title, or it could be a list of two objects). The code in Module:Detect singular attempts to distinguish between the ambiguous cases and the certain plural cases. To be conservative, you may wish to use something like Foo{{Pluralize from text|{{{foo|}}}|likely=(s)|plural=s}}, which uses “(s)” for the ambiguous cases. — hike395 (talk) 19:02, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good! Thanks for the suggestion. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 19:10, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, generally retain only if the relative has a WP article. Tony (talk) 00:59, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Tony1: thanks for the info! sorry for reverting your 2nd edit. I thought it was an error in your script. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 01:01, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
