Discovery Bay Resort

Discovery Bay Resort is a multi building complex resort located in downtown Kelowna, British Columbia. The resort was completed back in 2002 and is situated on the eastern side of Lake Okanagan.
History and Construction

The resort was developed by Pointe View Condos and designed by Alvin Reinhard Fritz Architect Inc. Early on, the buildings were recognized for its energy efficiency, utilizing a GeoExchange plant to manage cooling and heating for its 236 units. However, more recently, the building went under renovation to install chiller systems to improve reliability.
The resort features :
- Two swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor)
- A fitness centre and a sauna.
- A game room which includes a pool table, ping pong and a TV.
- Access to the beach.
Location and surrounding area

Discovery Bay is a central landmark in Kelowna’s North End. The resort is situated on the board walk of the city and is just south of the nearby Knox Mountain.
