Mogamad Zain Allie, known professionally as Ziggy4x, is a South African rapper from Manenberg, Cape Town. He gained significant media attention in 2024 following the success of his debut EP Gangsta Baby.[1][2]
Early Life
He grew up in Manenberg, Cape Town.[1]
Career
He began his music career in early 2023. His debut single, Honne, featuring Kulture Gang and AlwaysTheSuspect, was released in January 2024, quickly gaining over a million views on YouTube.[3] In June 2024, he released Slat Los, featuring 25K and Loatinover Pounds, which further solidified his presence in the South African drill scene.[4] In September 2024, he released a remix of his single Honne featuring Maglera Doe Boy and Priddy Ugly, which became a viral hit, gaining millions of views[5][1][2] Later that year, in October, he was named Apple Music’s Up Next artist for October 2024.[6] On 8 November 2024, he released his debut EP, Gangsta Baby, a seven-track project.[7] The EP launch event took place at Opera Lounge in Rosebank, Cape Town, attended by media and music industry leaders.[8] In November 2024, Ziggy faced legal challenges when model Liam Vandiar sued him for R1 million, alleging a stabbing incident over the song Cape Town Thing.[9]
