Marriages
Agar married
On February 6, 1918, in Manhattan, Agar married Adeline Mitchell Scott (1886–1968), daughter of William Edwin Chilton, Jr. (1857–1939), U.S. Senator from West Virginia from 1911 to 1917. They divorced May 25, 1945, in West Palm Beach.
On April 11, 1933, in London, Agar married Eleanor Carroll Chilton (1898–1949).
On June 8, 1945, Agar married Barbara Wallace (née Barbara Lutyens; 1898–1981), the daughter of the architect Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869–1944) and the widow of Euan Wallace (1892–1941), a former British Minister of Transport.
