Filipino actor Dennis Trillo has received several awards and nominations throughout his acting career in the entertainment industry. He is dubbed by several media outlet as the Drama King of his generation for his versatility and diverse roles in movies and television series. His accolades include 4 PMPC Star Awards for Movies, 4 Golden Screen Movie Awards, 3 Metro Manila Film Festival, 3 FAMAS Award, 2 Golden Screen TV Awards, 1 Luna Award and 1 Gawad Urian Award. He is the 13th actor to achieve the grand slam awards in Philippines cinema.

Internationally, he won Best Actor awards in Asian Academy Creative Awards , Seoul International Drama Awards, Asian Television Awards and International Golden Summit Excellence Awards in Vietnam.

Trillo’s acting career began as part of ABS-CBN Star Circle Batch 10. He appeared in a supporting role in the series Pangako Sa ‘Yo and Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan. In 2003, he moved to GMA Network and appeared as main cast in series Twin Hearts, Kahit Kailan and Mulawin.

His breakout role was in the romantic war drama movie, Aishite Imasu 1941 directed by Joel Lamangan, playing the role of Igancio “Anya”, a gay spy during World War II. For the role, he won Best Supporting Actor award at the 30th Metro Manila Film Festival and Best Supporting Actor in the 53rd FAMAS Award. For the same role, he won Luna Award for Best Actor and PMPC Star Award for Movie of the Year in 2005 and received Best Supporting nomination from Gawad Urian Award.

The next year, he played the role of Kyle in the romantic drama movie, Blue Moon directed by Joel Lamangan. He received several nominations for Best Supporting Actor from Luna Award, Gawad Urian Award and Golden Screen Movie Awards.
