James (Jamie) Ryan Anderson (born June 24 2007) is a high school attender of the Nanaimo District Secondary School. Jamie was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia Canada and has lived there his entire life. Growing up he went to Ecole Hammond Bay School, a French immersion program. He spent his K-7 years there, learning in French all the while. Afterwards, he moved on to high school, where he currently is now, at NDSS. His first year there was abnormal, with the mask mandate in full effect and portions of the school blocked off to keep kids separated. The school also did not employ the usual semester system that year, but opted for a system featuring “quarters”, with two three-hour classes per day. A quarter was three months long and had two classes only. The system got slightly more normal during Jamie’s grade 9 year, where the double block days of the past only occurred twice weekly. By his grade 10 year, the mask mandate was gone, and everything had returned back to normal.
In his kindergarten year, he made several friends that lasted him all the way into high school, some of whom would remain with him until graduation. He started playing soccer at this time alongside some of these friends. He was very adept at soccer, and still plays it regularly to this day. In the second grade, he took up an aptitude for the coding website scratch, which sparked his interest in coding as a whole.
His graduation from this school was far from normal however, due to the Coronavirus disease interrupting his senior year. That year, his class left for spring break, and never came back to school. His class ended up having to finish that year online, and did not get any of the proper graduation ceremonies.
