Corbyn Matthew Besson (born November 25, 1998) is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known as a member of the boy band Why Don’t We, which debuted in 2016 and gained popularity through a series of successful EPs, albums, and international tours.

Besson was born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in Fairfax, Virginia. He developed an interest in music at a young age, receiving his first guitar at the age of 12. Before joining Why Don’t We, Besson gained popularity online through social media platforms, where he shared acoustic covers and original songs.

2016–present: Why Don’t We

Besson became a member of the pop group Why Don’t We in 2016, alongside Daniel Seavey, Zach Herron, Jonah Marais, and Jack Avery. The group released their debut EP, Only the Beginning, in 2016, followed by a series of successful projects including Something Different, Why Don’t We Just (2017), Invitation (2017) – EP, A Why Don’t We Christmas (2017), and the debut album 8 Letters (2018). They later released their 2nd and final album The Good Times and the Bad Ones (2021)

The band achieved commercial success with singles such as “8 Letters”, “What Am I”, and “Fallin’ (Adrenaline)”, which charted on the Billboard Hot 100. They toured internationally and amassed a large online following.

In addition to his work with Why Don’t We, Besson has released solo material independently. He has also collaborated with other online creators and musicians.

Besson has discussed his passion for music, travel, and photography. He has been open about health challenges, including undergoing emergency surgery in 2020 due to a throat infection.
