Otherwise, I am currently working on writing articles on parts of Bristol, England. These are primarily on the parks, municipal housing projects, and churches that I’ve found have been mostly overlooked in modern publications. For churches in particular, one of my goals is to try and document their stained glass, fittings, and monuments, since details such as their makers and consecration dates are often buried in old primary sources. For these articles I have written and illustrated, I have to say I am very thankful to vergers, churchwardens, and vicars who have welcomed me to visit and photograph their buildings.

Over time, I plan to expand more articles on various areas of Bristol I am familiar with, as there is much recent history that is slowly fading into obscurity. Hopefully, I can also inspire others to do the same, as there are so many more things, people, and places in this city waiting to be written.

Interested in architecture, medieval to modern history, and other miscellanea. I’m also working on uploading a backlog of photographs I’ve taken over the years and photographs of collections in museums, primarily arms and armor and other medieval antiquities – all of this is of course made available on Wikimedia Commons. Some of these are in the gallery below:

Articles I’ve created

[edit]

For many years I focused on translating stubs and creating basic entries, but recently I’ve started drafting full articles from scratch. Here is a list of all the articles I’ve written myself:

Articles I’ve translated

[edit]

Many of my early contributions were translations from other languages onto the English Wikipedia (some of these earlier articles were admittedly not so great; I’ll go back to them eventually):

Articles I’ve expanded

[edit]

At least the ones where I can say I’ve left my mark, usually by taking stubs beyond their initial classifications:

This is just a personal collection of red links to articles I hope to write in the future, since my use of the sandbox feature is minimal and I write most of my articles locally. Having these here just makes getting back to the right article easier:
