she started editing the encyclopedia by adding a plot summary for rainy dog (1997). her first created article was tenjin matsuri; her first good article was jarinko chie (1981), directed by takahata isao. her most fulfilling work on the encyclopedia has been working on the meiji restoration and films of kurosawa akira.
