This is the Wikipedia user page of Alejandro Sánchez de Miguel.
I am a researcher specializing in remote sensing, light pollution and meteors.
I currently work at the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC), and collaborate as an honorary and associate researcher with the Department of Earth Physics and Astrophysics at the Complutense University of Madrid and with the University of Exeter (UK).
Education and career

I completed my Ph.D. at the Department of Astrophysics and Atmospheric Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid, focusing on the measurement and modeling of light pollution from both ground-based and orbital observations.
I have served on the board of the International Dark-Sky Association and was president of the Amateur Astronomers Association of the Complutense University of Madrid.
For over a decade, I have been an active member of the Spanish Fireball and Meteorite Research Network (SPMN), contributing to the detection, recovery, and analysis of meteoric events.
