Sender is an upcoming American thriller film written and directed by Russell Goldman. It stars Britt Lower, Anna Baryshnikov, Rhea Seehorn, David Dastmalchian, and Jamie Lee Curtis. It is scheduled to premiere at 2026 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival on March 14, 2026.[1]
After receiving a series of packages containing unnervingly personal items, a woman tumbles down a paranoid rabbit hole to find her mysterious sender.
Principal photography was announced to begin in Spring 2025 in Santa Clarita, California.[2]. The film marked the directorial debut of Russell Goldman, who based Sender on his 2022 short film Return to Sender. His screenplay for Sender also appeared on the 2023 Black List.
In April 2025, Britt Lower, Anna Baryshnikov, David Dastmalchian and Jamie Lee Curtis joined the film, with Curtis serving as producer. Rhea Seehorn was added in October.[3] Utkarsh Ambudkar and Mike Mitchell was added in January 2026.[1]
