Aloha, I am SyzygyRebel 💫👋🏾💫

I am passionate about contributing to Wikipedia by creating and improving articles that center African perspectives, particularly those of African women and womxn. My recent work aligns with the goals of WikiProject Women in Red, which seeks to close the gender gap in Wikipedia’s coverage of notable women, Wiki Loves Women, which focuses on African women’s representation, and WikiProject LGBT studies, which supports inclusive coverage of LGBTQIA+ topics and individuals.

Some of the women/womxn whose biographies I create or improve may be known to me, either personally or professionally. I may have collaborated with them in academic, activist, or organisational contexts. I am committed to following Wikipedia’s COI guidelines and will disclose any relevant connections, including through my user page and the Articles for Creation (AfC) process when applicable.

PSS: I’m such an obsessive editor 🤦🏾 — I keep returning to the articles I’ve created and edited, always finding something to refine 😸. Of course, perfection doesn’t exist; I can only offer my best, and hope that it’s enough. 🤞🏾
