The ”’South Eastern Road Club”’ was an amateur British cycle racing club based in south London and was disbanded in October 2025, after 101 years. The club, one of the earliest in the London area, had its heyday in the 1950s-1990s, when its membership topped 120. Many fine riders, some competing at national level, raced with the club. Due to a dwindling membership numbering 15, and with few new riders joining, the committee voted to disband the club.<ref>{{Cite web |date=9 October 2025 |title=South Easter Road Club disbanded |url=https://www.facebook.com/SouthEasternRoadClub/posts/pfbid02W6XjkUjWs2Rd6gFT41QbFx2GxPFTe1U1m4XmWxFSfsFVb8VpDac47tneSzbhQAdRl |url-status=live |access-date=26 November 2025 |website=Facebook}}</ref>

British cycling club

The South Eastern Road Club was an amateur British cycle racing club based in south London and was disbanded in October 2025, after 101 years. The club had its heyday in the 1950s-1990s, when its membership topped 120. Many fine riders, some competing at national level, raced with the club. Due to a dwindling membership numbering 15, and with few new riders joining, the committee voted to disband the club.[1]

The South Eastern Road Club was formed in 1924[2] as a racing off-shoot of the south-eastern section of the Cyclist Touring Club (CTC), to facilitate cycle racing in the south-east of England.
