While attempting to create Template:POTD protected/2025-07-06, I found that Template:POTD/2025-07-06 does not begin with {{POTD {{{1|{{{style|default}}}}}} or {{POTD/2025-07-06/{{#invoke:random|number|<N>}}|{{{1|{{{style|default}}}}}}}}. Please fix it, or create Template:POTD protected/2025-07-06 manually. When you have fixed this issue, please change the section title (e.g. append ” – Fixed”) or remove this section completely. The species name Comatricha nigra in the proposed text should be in italics, and the letter “C” should be capitalised. It would be helpful to mark it as a member of the Myxogastria, one of the slime mold groups introduced at the start of the text. You might do this by rewriting the final sentence as
