*”’Delete”’. Not a valid dab page as it stands, nor is one needed as the two alternative meanings given in the Airbus hatnote are covered by WP:TWOOTHER. There ”might” be a case to be made for a set index article under some different title, but this attempted dab isn’t what would be needed for that either. * ”’Delete”’ per Clarityfiend and Rosbif73, only two valid disambiguation targets and WP:TWOOTHER applies. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 23:50, 2 January 2026 (UTC) |

*”’Delete”’ – Per WP:PTM. Also, divisions of the same company do not belong in a disambiguation page and the other entries in that page aren’t known as “airbus”. –Prothe1st (leave me a message)– 19:54, 3 January 2026 (UTC) |

- Airbus (disambiguation) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
A good faith but mistaken creation by a new user. Aircraft company and type articles with the same prefix (Airbus in this case) are served (found) by their categories and navigation templates (navboxes), there is no confusion. By this example all Ford vehicles (several hundred at a guess) would have to link to a DAB page. Nimbus (Cumulus nimbus floats by) 12:01, 1 January 2026 (UTC)

- (edit conflict)Links to closely related articles (company and aircraft types) were taken out of the See also sections and replaced with navboxes about 15 years ago, it made perfect sense as it reduced the clutter of multiple related subjects, this happened wiki-wide and was not just the aviation project. Airbus is served well by at least three navbox templates listed at Category:Airbus navigational boxes. Most of the other large companies are handled the same way, my example of the Ford Motor Company has just six links in its See also section but at least 18 navboxes in Category:Ford Motor Company templates. - How many of the hundreds (best guess) of articles beginning with or containing the word ‘Airbus’ would be included? Set index articles are for subjects with near identical names, Triumph Trophy (set index) lists six motorcycles with near identical names, that is not the case here. - If there are more relevant pages that comply with the guidelines at WP:SETINDEX than they can of course be added. Note that categories are mainly in-universe tools that non-editors (ie our readers) typically are not aware of and don’t know how to use. For this reason, we allow for navigation and index pages of our content because they are much more likely to be used by readers who are not editors. I don’t see a problem here for creating an index of Airbus articles.4meter4 (talk) 14:19, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- One would hope that readers would be using the provided navboxes though? DAB pages are used where there is no clear primary topic, if the reader types ‘Airbus’ into the search window they arrive at Airbus, technically they should now arrive at Airbus (disambiguation), clearly no need for this extra step. - This is not a set index page. The entries do not share the same name, only part of one. Clarityfiend (talk) 23:57, 1 January 2026 (UTC)

- I’d say it’s a reasonable Keep. The thing is, the various airbus articles cover the company, the company’s history, the individual planes, and the helicopter side of things, and the current links int he main article Airbus are scattered across assorted paragraphs and tables. It’s quite complicated. None of these is obviously the thing that 90% of readers are looking for, so we have to assume a lot of readers may be unaware of what articles exist, and currently in the wrong place. A disambig is a reasonable way to help them. Categories are great, but many people don’t know categories exist, and don’t use them, so disambigs and navigational lists still have a very valid role. (note: I don’t intend this as a precedent for every aircraft manufacturer; where there isn’t a complicated network of articles, we don’t need these aids) Elemimele (talk) 15:38, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Delete or rename to something like List of Airbus divisions. As it is, this is not a valid disambiguation page as the individual entities by and large are not known as simply ‘Airbus’. Similarly these are also not really a valid set index either. This is nothing more than a partial list of entities (of one sort or another) that have some connection to the company. older ≠ wiser 16:40, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Delete for violating WP:partial title matches. The only two legit articles (which aren’t in this falsely alleged dab page) are handled by a hatnote in the main article: Airbus (band) and London Buses Airbus routes. All but one of the current entries are already mentioned/linked in Airbus, the exception being Airbus Beluga (why this one of all the Airbus aircraft?), which is in Category:Airbus aircraft. - Delete. Not a valid disambiguation page, duplicates both categories and navboxen. – The Bushranger One ping only 04:13, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
