*”’Procedural keep”’ per {{u|Cortador}}. The Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Wing exists and there are sources about it. Whether the topic is better covered within the main air force article should be discussed on a talk page. [[User:Pburka|pburka]] ([[User talk:Pburka|talk]]) 23:58, 6 February 2026 (UTC) |

The Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Wing is not a separate branch of the Sri Lanka Air Force like the Royal Air Force‘s Women’s Royal Air Force which existed till 1994 (if we check this we cannot be sure about this). The article is presenting full of wrong information about the Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Wing, Sri Lanka is a patriarchal country where women’s freedom is absent, the article must be deleted if strong references are not provided. We must ask ourselves that what is the definition of an air force wing? and what actually this ‘Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Wing’ is? The given references are very poor about the wing. We need strong references. The article’s Overview about the women of the Sri Lanka Air Force section does not say anything about the ‘Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Wing’, then what the wing is actually? We need to find out books about the ‘Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Wing’ like there is a book titled Women in Air Force Blue of the Royal Air Force. Haiku Taiku (talk) 06:55, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Procedural keep. Whether or not the current article is accurate isn’t relevant. Whether or not there are sufficient sources covering the topic is. Cortador (talk) 08:25, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in the deletion sorting lists for the following topics: Women, Military, and Sri Lanka. WikiMacaroonsCinnamon? 09:53, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Merge to the Sri Lanka Air Force article. The Sri Lanka Air Force was created in 1950 under the supervision of the Royal Air Force, at that time women were not recruited in the air force (though Sri Lanka was under British rule) like the WRAF (where women were recruited) of Britain. It is unclear that whether the ‘Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Wing’ is a separate branch of the Sri Lanka Air Force or not. ~2026-76972-5 (talk) 12:18, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Merge to Sri Lanka Air Force because there are insufficient information about the Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Wing. ~2026-81686-8 (talk) 07:03, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
- Procedural keep per Cortador. The Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Wing exists and there are sources about it. Whether the topic is better covered within the main air force article should be discussed on a talk page. pburka (talk) 23:58, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
