Category:Polynesian musicians
- Nominator’s rationale: This category is a confusing mixture of two different and incompatible things. On one hand it relates to Polynesia as a geographic region, as stated by the description and visible by children categories for countries in Polynesia. On the other hand, in some cases it seems to consider only ethnic Polynesian islanders, as visible in parent categories for ethnicity and indigenous musicians. I believe that while Polynesian music is notable, it should be reflected in genre categories, rather than attempting to sort biographies between pure-bled and mixed-bled Pacific islanders. Industry
- Nominator’s rationale: split between Industries and Manufacturing, Industry is a disambiguation page and the two distinct meanings are Industry (manufacturing) which is not a countable noun and Industry (economics) which is a countable noun. However Industry (manufacturing) is in fact a redirect to Manufacturing so we can move content about the latter to the relevant Manufacturing category. The remainder are set categories about industries, so we can rename these categories accordingly. By all means keep dab pages. Note that Category:Industry already exists as a dab page. - Nominator’s rationale: rename, the current name is ambiguous because “by type” can also refer to works. As the subcategory is called Category:Animal literature by topic I think that is a reasonable alternative. Marcocapelle (talk) 08:37, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
