List of House of Representatives constituencies of Belize (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
- Nominator(s): –MPGuy2824 (talk) 07:57, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
Central America this time. I’ve removed some fluff, consolidated a few data sections into the main table, consolidated all prose into the lead and history section, and improved sourcing. If this gets promoted it would be the first FL under the ambit of WikiProject Belize. Recent similar FLs: Nepal, Bahamas. –MPGuy2824 (talk) 07:57, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- Explain how electors are designated
- The country doesn’t have an Electoral college. The representatives are directly elected by all eligible voters. I’ve changed the cell header to “Electorate” like in the FLs mentioned above and added a line about minimum age for voters to the lead. –MPGuy2824 (talk)
- Explain why and when there is redistricting
- There should be a dedicated notes section for the two EFNs
- Also both EFNs are unsourced
- Could use some analysis about partisan compesistion
- I’m not entirely convinced that adding something about Belize’s two party system is appropriate for this list. Elections in Belize seems like a more apt target, but I could be persuaded with a good argument for including it here too. –MPGuy2824 (talk)
- I think the infobox text “[National Assembly Building], Independence Hill, [Belmopan], Belize” is technically a WP:GEOLINK violation. I dont think “National Assembly Building” should be included in the place name. It should say “[National Assembly Building] at Independence Hill, [Belmopan], Belize” or something like that
- I feel the two see also links should be included in prose
- The dash at the end of the table should say the first overall election
- I’ve added the earliest year in that column to the last cell, but this could get confusing: the cell could mean “first election since all these constituencies existed together” or “first election in which at least one these constituencies existed”. What do you think? –MPGuy2824 (talk)
- I think its fine how it is currently
- I’ve added the earliest year in that column to the last cell, but this could get confusing: the cell could mean “first election since all these constituencies existed together” or “first election in which at least one these constituencies existed”. What do you think? –MPGuy2824 (talk)
- The 1981 constitution is linked twice in the lead
- Thats what I found ping me when done. Olliefant (she/her) 15:32, 13 October 2025 (UTC)

- “This was reinstated in 1935, but it was made up of only nominated members” => “This was reinstated in 1935 but was made up of only nominated members”
- “British Honduras gained full self-government and a new constitution was passed, in 1963” – there’s no reason for that comma to be there
- “to ensure that their voting population be as equal as possible to each other, as required by the constitution” => “to ensure that their voting populations are as equal as possible, as required by the constitution”
- “but voting isn’t compulsory” => “but voting is not compulsory”
- “Dangriga was known as Stann Creek Town till the 1980s” => “Dangriga was known as Stann Creek Town until the 1980s”
- “Stann Creek West was known as Stann Creek Rural till 1984” => “Stann Creek West was known as Stann Creek Rural until 1984” — ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:27, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
