The page describes Charlie Kirk as a “political activist”. He was not an activist; he was a conservative. Conservatives seek to maintain/sustain preexisting conditions and traditions. Activists seek haphazard/reckless change. [[Special:Contributions/172.59.196.6|172.59.196.6]] ([[User talk:172.59.196.6|talk]]) 13:31, 11 September 2025 (UTC)

Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.

  • Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article’s talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
  • Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the {{Edit COI}} template should be used.
  • Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
  • If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
  • This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

Request to add Khalil al-Hayya back in the “Commanders and leaders” box:

1. Khalil al-Hayya assumed a central leadership role following the deaths of Ismail Haniyeh (assassinated July 2024) and Yahya Sinwar (killed October 2024)

2. He is a lead negotiator in ceasefire and hostage exchanges, heading the delegation in Qatar.

3. He is part of a five-member leadership council currently guiding Hamas operations abroad.

4. While targeted by Israeli forces in an airstrike in Doha on September 9, 2025, underscoring his perceived significance, there is no evidence that he has been assassinated or has been removed from his position as of September 10, 2025.

remove “right-wing” activist and replace with “conservative”. 24.117.61.185 (talk) 23:02, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Comment:: The US’s Overton window is so far to the right that we don’t have actual conservatives. An actual conservative would be calling for budget reform, not referring to empathy as “damaging”. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 06:13, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to request that wikipedia change the title of the article to “Assassination of Charlie Kirk.— Preceding unsigned comment added by HeroOfKvatch (talkcontribs)

Not done. Move request is open and discussion is ongoing. Isabelle Belato 🏳‍🌈 03:26, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Add a request to include mention of the suspect’s 14 prior arrests.

This is well sourced in multiple places (e.g. https://abcnews.go.com/US/mother-sister-charlotte-stabbing-suspect-describe-history-mental/story?id=125451590) and clearly relevant to the case. For example, the main article mentions criticism “from right-wing political commentators”, and the fact that someone with this record was on the streets is a key factor in that criticism. There is a cited claim that “[Trump] continued by blaming local officials in places like Chicago for failing to stop crime and denounced cashless bail.[33]”, and the list of prior arrests is relevant here as well.

In the previous Talk page section titled “Career criminal”, user Psychloppos suggests that Mentioning that he had multiple convictions, and listing said convictions, might suffice. That would be factual and neutral. I wish to elevate that to a formal proposal. 209.171.98.34 (talk) 05:58, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

In 2025 Dowd was FIRED for making unacceptable statements about Charlie Kirk. Drewskee1984 (talk) 10:11, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Declined Article-talk isn’t protected, so use an edit request please. Remember to provides reliable sources. Lectonar (talk) 10:15, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
