Suspected sockpuppets

The Uncrownedusurper account is suspicious in a few ways and I’d like to get CU to clarify if it is related or not to Hobbyeditorman. Reasons:

• Their first edit was to restore a very specific earlier edit by Hobbyeditorman at Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa: [1] vs [2]. They’ve since continued to edit-war over this after being reverted by myself and again by another editor ([3], [4]). With one exception, all edits by both accounts are exclusively about this single issue at this article.
• Uncrownedusurper’s general combative behaviour, including the immediate edit-warring above and immediate doubling-down on a personal attack ([5], [6]), all over one edit by a supposedly unrelated previous account, is hard to square with a normal editor’s behaviour. For what it’s worth, statements like “I’m simply restoring the page to it’s last stable form before vandalism” also sound like the lingo of someone who’s edited on Wikipedia before.

That being said, the two accounts do not overlap so far and Uncrownedusurper has denied any connection with Hobbyeditorman ([7]). If they are indeed unrelated, then the behaviour above may go to WP:ANI instead. On the other hand, if the two accounts are related, then it’s hard to not imagine this being a previous LTA or block evader (as there’s no other reason for them to create a second account and then deny it). Thank you. I now notice this similar-ish edit a year ago by Donutmerchant, who is indeed a confirmed sock of Glockerov. Just as relevantly, the last confirmed socks are recent and this recent SPI mentions a focus on Spanish crusader topics, so this seems a likely fit. Add to that:

• Comicstressor: [18] vs [19]), account created today.
• Less clear but suspicious due to timing and topic: Bricklayer’sguide, created two days ago (but editing before that as ~2025-36866-13) and only edits so far are participating in the general edit-warring at Ethiopian–Adal War, where the last blocked socks were editing: this edit restored the sock’s edits (but it’s possible they weren’t aiming for that specifically, as they’re also restoring their own edits).
