Suspected sockpuppets
[edit]
Myna50 was already confirmed by Sahel108 as a second account in the archived SPI. Myna50, Noneate, Ludamane, and Coconutpeople follow a specific and conserved pattern in their editing history, without exception. Myna50 1st 500Noneate 1st 500Ludamane 1st 500Coconutpeople 1st 500 1) create account 2) do a few gnoming style edits 3) add Twinkle (within the first 50 edits) 4) start making Category-related edits and adding short descriptions and 5) start tagging articles for speedy deletion 6) eventually, after a year or two, stop these gnoming/deletion type edits and contribute at Vishwananda and, sometimes, Bhakti Marga (organisation), advancing the same point of view. Ludamane and Sahel108 even have similar userpages. Myna50 and Noneate use similar edit summaries [1][2]. There are other suspicious accounts but I started with these given they all show the highly-conserved pattern. If these confirm, there are 2-3 others we should look at. - @Asilvering: is Noneate not confirmed? The behavioral match is so strong. As for the others, Lletaif was the highest probability one, with User:Lletaif/Cosmopsychism and User:Ludamane/Cosmopsychism created simultaneously. Could be compromised or sold, but my guess was another Vishwananda follower donated the account to Sahel. Doesn’t matter I suppose. Every account advocating a similar position at Vishwananda could be checked. Is it ok to list low-probability accounts here? NicheSports (talk) 14:30, 19 December 2025 (UTC)

Thanks for that. I already wanted to point these pattern out, but was unsure if they are strong enough to warrant a SPI case.
Even if the accounts are not sockpuppets, they might be WP:MEAT. In addition to these accounts, there have been attempts of open followers of Vishwananda to influence these articles (e.g. User:Manaydas, User:Uttarayanamargadasi (the latter one only in the German wikipedia)). There have been similar events at the de.wiki version of these articles.
Especially User:Coconutpeople (link to attempted ANI) and User:Myna50 did also show some conduct issues, especially extreme apparent double standards with regards to sources for/against their POV. Iluzalsipal (talk) 20:05, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

- It looks like you’ve found the tip of a rather larger iceberg. These are
Confirmed: asilvering (talk) 12:47, 19 December 2025 (UTC)- Given this, I don’t think we can accept Sahel’s explanation,
The reason that I have those two accounts is that I am using one of them (Sahel108) for my studies from university and the other one private.
, anymore. I’m not sure what to make of Lletaif. Compromised? Sold? Not to mention that the technical data here is extremely dodgy – probable proxies, geolocation jumps all over the place, etc. NicheSports, care to share the other accounts you had in mind? — asilvering (talk) 12:54, 19 December 2025 (UTC)- @NicheSports, Noneate isn’t confirmed, and I haven’t checked them directly – I would presume the data is stale (it expires after 90 days). If you have any others to suggest that have taken actions in the past 90 days, I can take a look at them. Otherwise, I would say you should leave them for now, and report if they pop back up. Either way, let me know, so I know to close the case. — asilvering (talk) 23:06, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
