Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Wainlode Fishing District/Archive: Difference between revisions

I hope this is an appropriate venue as I’m trying to avoid going all the way to ANI if I don’t need to. Wainlode Cliff has a pattern of COI editor(s?) displaying OWN behavior on the article since at least June, inserting unsourced and promotional claims. Most communication regarding sourcing and the COI has fallen on deaf ears. WFD came to my talk page recently asking me to restore their claims before stating that they’d ask someone from the parish council (presumably WPC) to edit on their behalf. WPC was blocked for a username violation, and the blocking admin wasnt sure if WFD’s username was also problematic. Regardless, there’s obvious MEAT and COI issues here, and I’ve been unsuccessful in getting the conversation to move past “I live there so its my article” when communication happens at all. ^LaffyTaffer💬(she/they) 22:53, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

• Since Wainlode Parish Council was not hardblocked, even assuming this is the same person, there has been no block evasion, and thus no abuse of multiple accounts. I’ll also note that the WFD account is almost two months older. @LaffyTaffer, if unsourced, potentially COI additions and failure to communicate continue, please take this to ANI.
