Propose merging Template:Mapriver with Template:Infobox river.
This new “Mapriver” template obviously overlaps with the map functionality in the main infobox river template. I don’t see a reason why we should encourage more curly braces and redundant syntax in the article infoboxes when it can be done with normal parameters. duplicates {{largest cities}}. It was used in Template:Largest Urban Areas of the United Kingdom and I have done a straight replacement of it with {{largest cities}}, it worked fine. —Deoma12^(Talk) 00:19, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
