This is a sustainability-themed required writing course, meaning we will focus on the interdisciplinary and social practice of using natural resources responsibly today to ensure a safe and just future for all. Communicating about sustainability issues and science is critical for achieving this goal. As such, students will conduct research on a sustainability topic of their choosing and transition this knowledge into three public-facing writing projects: Wikipedia edits, a visual, and a website, podcast, or video. No prior technical or scientific knowledge is required, but students should be open to experimenting with methods of multimodal composing and interested in conducting research on sustainability.
