Advisory essay on notability of project-specific topics
This page is part of the Cricket WikiProject and provides a list of competitions that have been played at the highest international or domestic level. It is intended to be used as an aid in considering the presumed notability.
First RfC in the system is yet to commence soon.
Competitions that have been deemed non-notable may still be notable if they can be shown to pass the wider requirements of WP:GNG.
Cricket events/competitions are categorized as below based on the consensus. Categories of the new events are decided through annual RfCs, which also includes re-evaluating existing consensus as well (see /RfC for more information on how RfCs are conducted). See #terminology section below as well.
- Category A: Notable enough for main article, season article, squads/signings articles and sub-season articles.
- Category B: Notable enough for main article, season article and squads/signings articles.
- Category C: Notable enough for main and season articles only.
- Category D: Notable enough for main article only.
- Category E: Not notable.
- Category F: Not discussed yet.
