Israeli lawyer, economist, author and public speaker

Yaniv Zaid (born 10 October 1977) is an Israeli lawyer, economist, author, and international public speaker whose work focuses on persuasion, rhetoric, negotiation, and communication.[1]

Early life and education

Zaid was born in Haifa, Israel.[2]
He attended the Reali School in Haifa.[3]
After being accepted to the Israeli Air Force flight-training program, he served as a flight control officer.[4]

He completed a bachelor’s degree in law and economics, followed by a master’s degree and a doctorate in law at the University of Haifa.[5]
His doctoral dissertation, supervised by Prof. Shulamit Almog, examined rhetoric in legal discourse during an era of technological change.[6]

Debate and early career

During his university studies, Zaid served as chair of the University of Haifa debate club.[7]
He represented Israel in domestic and international debate competitions and finished third in the World Individual Speakers Championship in 2003.[8]

Professional career

Zaid was admitted to the Israel Bar Association in 2003.[9]
In the same year he founded “Art of Persuasion” (Hebrew: אמנות השכנוע), a consultancy specializing in persuasion, public speaking, sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.[10]
He has delivered lectures, workshops, and advisory services to companies and organizations across several continents.[11]

Zaid is the author of several books in Hebrew and English, including:[12]
