The 2025 TCR Brazil Touring Car Championship is the third season of TCR Brazil Touring Car Championship.[1]
🏁 Main Highlights So Far
- At the Curvelo (MG) round, which counted for both TCR Brazil Touring Car Championship and TCR South America, Argentine drivers dominated the overall standings, maintaining their lead in the championship.
- Still, Brazilian drivers achieved strong results — for example, Pedro Cardoso claimed victory at Termas de Río Hondo (Argentina) in a TCR South America race, showing that Brazilian representation remains competitive.
- The Brazilian grid features a mix of experienced racers and newcomers. Besides Cardoso and Raphael Reis, former F1 driver Nelson Piquet Jr. is also competing in 2025, aiming for top results.
- In the Trophy Cup (a parallel class within the championship), young Brazilian Maria Nienkötter has been a highlight, reflecting the category’s renewal and inclusiveness.
🎯 Current Situation and What to Expect
- Since the TCR Brazil Touring Car Championship season has only four rounds, each race carries significant weight in the title fight.
- Brazilian drivers remain in contention, but Argentine competitors have held the early advantage, particularly in South American events.
- The upcoming Velocitta (SP) round in October is seen as a key opportunity for the Brazilian drivers to regain ground, as it’s a home circuit.
- The Interlagos finale in December is expected to be decisive for both the title and team strategies heading into 2026.
