Bangladeshi army general
Abul Hasnat Mohammad Tariq, ndu, afwc, psc is a Major General of the Bangladesh Army. He is currently serving as Military Secretary to the Chief Adviser.[1]
Tariq was commissioned in the 27th BMA Long Course in the Corps of Infantry.
He was promoted to the two-star rank on October 2024 as part of a wider re-shuffle.[2] As major general, he was made GOC of the 33rd Infantry Division and Commander of Cumilla Area.[3] Later, he was transferred to the post of Commandant of the East Bengal Regimental Centre.[4]
He is known for serving as MSCA during the Yunus administration.[5]
