Babu Ezhumalai is an Interventional cardiologist, researcher based in Chennai, India.[1][2] He founded the Avatar Heart Foundation, a non-profit organization to reduce the morbidity and mortality due to Cardiovascular disease.[3] He is currently serving at the post of honorary Adjunct Professor at The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University[4] and serving as Senior Interventional Cardiologist at MGM Healthcare, Nelson Manickam Road, Chennai.[5] He performs complex cardiac interventions including advanced angioplasty stenting, and structural heart procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement. He also specializes in the management of heart failure patients.[6]
