“Crashing” is a song by the American musicians d4vd and Kali Uchis. It was released by Darkroom and Interscope Records on February 28, 2025, as the third single from his debut studio album Withered.
A music video directed by Kenneth Cappello premiered alongside the song’s release. The song was written by d4vd and Kali Uchis alongside its producers, Velvet and Tyler Spry. The song is a ballad that explores themes of romance.
Uchis had the song taken down from streaming services in September 2025 after human remains belonging to a teenage girl were found in a car registered to d4vd.[1]
Background and composition

The music video for “Crashing” was directed by Kenneth Cappello, and released on alongside the song.[2] The song features Kali Uchis,[3][4][5] who got on the song following an Instagram live.[6] D4vd released a teaser for “Crashing”.[3] On February 25, d4vd posted on Instagram confirming the feature he had been teasing with multiple snippets and hints, Kali Uchis.[7]
On September 17, Uchis claimed that she was working on having the song removed from streaming services after the discovery of human remains belonging to a 14-year-old girl, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, in a Tesla registered to d4vd.[8][1] As of September 29, 2025, the song was removed from all platforms.[9][better source needed]
