Dilo Doxan (Kurdish: Dîlo Doxan; born Dilovan Doghan Doghan, 1 January 1984) is a Syrian-Kurdish singer and musician. He is one of the most popular artists representing Rojava and Kurdish culture in the European diaspora.
Dilo Doxan was born in the Tirbesipiyê neighbourhood of Qamishli (Kurdish: Qamişlo) in north-eastern Syria. He grew up in a musical family and began playing percussion as a child, later learning keyboard and the traditional saz.
Doxan started his professional career in the early 1990s. In 1995 he won first prize at a music festival for young Syrian musicians. His debut album Rebene was released in 2004, followed by Dildaro in 2008. Due to the political situation in Syria, he fled to Germany in March 2009 and has lived in Hanover ever since.
After a studio break he released the album Hestên dûriyê in 2014. Since 2019, Doxan has been extremely active, releasing new singles almost every few months and touring extensively across Europe, especially at Newroz festivals and large Kurdish weddings and cultural events.
As of November 2025, he has more than 26,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and millions of views on YouTube.[1][2]
